3¶ The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him. 4And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five. 5The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul. 6And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.2.6 Zimri: or, Zabdi2.6 Dara: or, Darda 7And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.2.7 Achar: or, Achan 8And the sons of Ethan; Azariah. 9The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.2.9 Ram: Gr. 13¶ And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,2.13 Shimma: or, Shammah 14Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, 15Ozem the sixth, David the seventh: 16Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three. 17And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.2.17 Jether…: also called, Ithra an Israelite
18¶ And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon. 19And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur. 20And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
21¶ And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.2.21 married: Heb. took 22And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead. 23And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. 24And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
25¶ And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah. 26Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker. 28And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur. 29And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid. 30And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children. 31And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai. 32And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children. 33And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34¶ Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. 35And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai. 36And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad, 37And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed, 38And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah, 39And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah, 40And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum, 41And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42¶ Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. 43And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema. 44And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai. 45And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth-zur. 46And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez. 47And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph. 48Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah. 49She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50¶ These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,2.50 Ephratah: also called, Ephreth 51Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.2.52 Haroeh: or, Reaiah2.52 half…: or, half of the Menuchites, or, Hatsi-ham-menuchoth 53And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites. 54The sons of Salma; Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.2.54 Ataroth…: or, Atarites, or, crowns of the house of Joab 55And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.

1የእስራኤል ወንዶች ልጆች እነዚህ ነበሩ፤ ሮቤል፣ ስምዖን፣ ሌዊ፣ ይሁዳ፣ ይሳኮር፣ ዛብሎን፣ 2ዳን፣ ዮሴፍ፣ ብንያም፣ ንፍታሌም፣ ጋድ፣ አሴር።

እስከ ኤስሮን ወንዶች ልጆች
3የይሁዳ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዔር፣ አውናን፣ ሴሎም፤ እነዚህን ሦስቱን ከከነዓናዊት ሚስቱ ከሴዋ ወለደ። የበኵር ልጁ ዔር በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ክፉ ሰው ሆነ፤ እግዚአብሔርም ቀሠፈው። 4የልጁም ሚስት የነበረችው ትዕማር ፋሬስንና ዛራን ወለደችለት፤
ይሁዳም በአጠቃላይ አምስት ወንዶች ልጆች ነበሩት።
5የፋሬስ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ኤስሮም፣ ሐሙል።
6የዛራ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዘምሪ፣ ኤታን፣ ሄማን፣ ከልኮል፣ ዳራ2፥6 አያሌ የዕብራይስጥ ቅጆች ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማሉ፤ አንዳንድ የዕብራይስጥ፣ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕሞችና የሱርስቱ ቅጆች (እንዲሁም 1ነገ 4፥31 ይመ) ግን፣ ዳርዳ ይላሉ።፤ በአጠቃላይ አምስት ናቸው።
7የከርሚ ወንድ ልጅ አካን2፥7 አካን ማለት፣ ችግር ወይም፣ መከራ ማለት ነው።፤
እርሱም ፈጽሞ መደምሰስ የነበረበትን ነገር ሰርቆ በእስራኤል ላይ ጥፋት2፥7 የዕብራይስጡ ቃል አንድን ሰው ወይም ነገር ሙሉ በሙሉ በማጥፋት ለእግዚአብሔር መስጠትን ያመለክታል። እንዲመጣ ያደረገ ነው።
8የኤታን ወንድ ልጅ፤
አዛርያ።
9የኤስሮም ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ይረሕምኤል፣ አራም፣ ካሌብ።2፥9 ዕብራይስጡ፣ ከሉባይ ይላል፤ ይኸውም፣ ካሌብ ማለት ነው።
ከኤስሮም ልጅ ከአራም ጀምሮ ያለው የትውልድ ሐረግ
10አራም አሚናዳብን ወለደ፤
አሚናዳብም የይሁዳ ሕዝብ መሪ የሆነውን ነአሶንን ወለደ፤
11ነአሶን ሰልሞንን2፥11 የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕም (እንዲሁም ሩት 4፥21) ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማል፤ ዕብራይስጡ ግን፣ ሳልማ ወለደ፤
ሰልሞን ቦዔዝን ወለደ።
12ቦዔዝ ኢዮቤድን ወለደ፤
ኢዮቤድ እሴይን ወለደ።
13የእሴይ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
የበኵር ልጁ ኤልያብ፣ ሁለተኛ ልጁ አሚናዳብ፣
ሦስተኛ ልጁ ሣማ፣ 14አራተኛ ልጁ ናትናኤል፣
አምስተኛ ልጁ ራዳይ፣ 15ስድስተኛ ልጁ አሳም፣
ሰባተኛ ልጁ ዳዊት።
16እኅቶቻቸውም ጽሩያና አቢግያ ነበሩ።
የጽሩያ ሦስት ወንዶች ልጆች አቢሳ፣ ኢዮአብና አሣኤል ነበሩ።
17አቢግያ አሜሳይን ወለደች፤ አባቱም ዬቴር የተባለ እስማኤላዊ ነበረ።
የኤስሮም ልጅ ካሌብ
18የኤስሮም ልጅ ካሌብ ከሚስቱ ከዓዙባና እንዲሁም ከይሪዖት ወንዶች ልጆች ወለደ፤ ከዓዙባ የተወለዱት ወንዶች ልጆች እነዚህ ናቸው፤ ያሳር፣ ሶባብ፣ አርዶን።
19ዓዙባ ስትሞት፣ ካሌብ ኤፍራታን አገባ፤ እርሷም ሆርን ወለደችለት።
20ሆር ኡሪን ወለደ፤ ኡሪም ባስልኤልን ወለደ።
21ከዚያም በኋላ ኤስሮም ስድሳ ዓመት ሲሆነው የገለዓድን አባት የማኪርን ልጅ አገባ፤ እርሷም ሠጉብን ወለደችለት።
22ሠጉብም ኢያዕርን ወለደ፤ እርሱም በገለዓድ ምድር ሃያ ሦስት ከተሞች ያስተዳድር ነበር።
23ይሁን እንጂ ጌሹርና አራም፣ ቄናትንና በዙሪያዋ የሚገኙትን ስድሳ መንደሮች ጨምሮ የኢያዕርን ከተሞች ነጠቁት2፥23 ወይም፣ የኢያዕርን መኖሪያ ነጠቁ።
እነዚህ ሁሉ የገለዓድ አባት የማኪር ዘሮች ነበሩ።
24ኤስሮም በካሌብ ኤፍራታ ከሞተ በኋላ፣ ሚስቱ አቢያ የቴቁሔን አባት2፥24 በዚህም ሆነ በቍጥር 42፡45፡49-52 ላይ፣ አባት ማለት፣ የአገር ሽማግሌ ወይም፣ የጦር መሪ ማለት ነው። አሽሑርን ወለደችለት።
የኤስሮም ልጅ ይረሕምኤል
25የኤስሮም የበኵር ልጅ የይረሕምኤል ወንዶች ልጆች፤
የበኵር ልጁ ራም፣ ቡናህ፣ ኦሬን፣ ኦጼም፣ አኪያ። 26ይረሕምኤል ዓጣራ የተባለች ሌላ ሚስት ነበረችው፤ እርሷም የኦናም እናት ነበረች።
27የይረሕምኤል የበኵር ልጁ የራም ወንዶች፤
መዓስ፣ ያሚን፣ ዔቄር።
28የኦናም ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ሸማይና ያዳ።
የሸማይ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ናዳብና አቢሱር።
29የአቢሱር ሚስት አቢካኢል ትባላለች፤ እርሷም አሕባንንና ሞሊድ የተባሉ ልጆች ወለደችለት።
30የናባድ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ሴሌድ፣ አፋይም፤ ሴሌድ ወንድ ልጅ ሳይወልድ ሞተ።
31የአፋይም ወንድ ልጅ፤
ይሽዒ። ይሽዒም ሶሳን ወለደ።
ሶሳን አሕላይን ወለደ።
32የሸማይ ወንድም የያዳ ወንዶች ልጆች፤ ዬቴር፣ ዮናታን፤ ዬቴርም ልጅ ሳይወልድ ሞተ።
33የዮናታን ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ፌሌት፣ ዛዛ።
እነዚህ የይረሕምኤል ዘሮች ነበሩ።
34ሶሳን ሴቶች ልጆች እንጂ ወንዶች ልጆች አልነበሩትም።
እርሱም ኢዮሄል የተባለ ግብፃዊ አገልጋይ ነበረው። 35ሶሳን ልጁን ለአገልጋዩ ለኢዮሄል ሚስት ትሆነው ዘንድ ሰጠው፤ እርሷም ዓታይ የተባለ ወንድ ልጅ ወለደችለት።
36ዓታይ ናታንን ወለደ፤
ናታንም ዛባድን ወለደ፤
37ዛባድ ኤፍላልን ወለደ፤
ኤፍላል ዖቤድን ወለደ፤
38ዖቤድ ኢዩን ወለደ፤
ኢዩ ዓዛርያስን ወለደ፤
39ዓዛርያስ ኬሌስን ወለደ፤
ኬሌስ ኤልዓሣን ወለደ፤
40ኤልዓሣ ሲስማይን ወለደ፤
ሲስማይ ሰሎምን ወለደ፤
41ሰሎም የቃምያን ወለደ፤
የቃምያም ኤሊሳማን ወለደ።
የካሌብ ጐሣዎች
42የይረሕምኤል ወንድም የካሌብ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
የበኵር ልጁ ሞሳ ሲሆን፣ እርሱም ዚፍን ወለደ፤
ዚፍም መሪሳን2፥42 የዚህ ቃል የዕብራይስጡ ትርጕም በትክክል አይታወቅም። ወለደ፤ መሪሳም ኬብሮንን ወለደ።
43የኬብሮን ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ቆሬ፣ ተፉዋ፣ ሬቄም፣ ሽማዕ።
44ሽማዕ ረሐምን ወለደ፤
ረሐምም ዮርቅዓምን ወለደ።
ሬቄም ሸማይን ወለደ፤
45ሸማይም ማዖንን ወለደ፤
ማዖንም ቤት ጹርን ወለደ።
46የካሌብ ቁባት ዔፉ ሐራንን፣ ሞዳን፣ ጋዜዝን ወለደች።
ሐራንም ጋዜዝን ወለደ።
47የያህዳይ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ሬጌም፣ ኢዮታም፣ ጌሻን፣ ፋሌጥ፣ ዔፋ፣ ሸዓፍ።
48የካሌብ ቁባት ማዕካ ሼቤርን፣ ቲርሐናን ወለደችለት።
49እንዲሁም የመድማናን አባት ሸዓፍን፣ የመክቢናንና የጊብዓን አባት ሱሳን ወለደች።
ካሌብ ዓክሳ የተባለች ልጅ ነበረችው።
50እነዚህ ሁሉ የካሌብ ዘሮች ነበሩ።
የኤፍራታ የበኵር ልጅ የሑር ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ሦባል የቂርያትይዓሪም አባት፤ 51ሰልሞን የቤተ ልሔም አባት፤ ሐሬፍ የቤት ጋዴር አባት።
52የቂርያትይዓሪም አባት የሦባል ዘሮች፤
የመናሕታውያን ነዋሪዎች እኩሌታ፣ ሀሮኤ፤ 53እንዲሁም የቂርያትይዓሪም ጐሣዎች፤ ይትራውያን፣ ፉታውያን፣ ሹማታውያን፣ ሚሽራውያን፣ ጾርዓውያንና ኤሽታኦላውያን ከእነዚህ የመጡ ጐሣዎች ነበሩ።
54የሰልሞን ዘሮች፤
ቤተ ልሔም፣ ነጦፋውያን፣ ዓጣሮት ቤት ዮአብ፣ የመናሕታውያን እኩሌታ፣ ጾርዓውያን። 55በያቤጽ የሚኖሩ የጸሐፍት ጐሣዎች2፥55 ወይም፣ ሶፍራውያን ቲርዓውያን፣ ሺምዓታውያን፣ ሡካታውያን። እነዚህ ከሬካብ ቤት አባት ከሐማት የመጡ ቄናውያን ናቸው።
