1And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. 2Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.15.2 None…: Heb. It is not to carry the ark of God, but for the Levites 3And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it. 4And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites: 5Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:15.5 brethren: or, kinsmen 6Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty: 7Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty: 8Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred: 9Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore: 10Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve. 11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab, 12And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it. 13For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. 14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. 15And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD. 16And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. 17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; 18And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters. 19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass; 20And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth; 21And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.15.21 on the…: or, on the eighth to oversee 22And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.15.22 was for…: or, was for the carriage: he instructed about the carriage15.22 song: Heb. lifting up 23And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark. 24And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25¶ So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy. 26And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams. 27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.15.27 song: or, carriage 28Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29¶ And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
ታቦቱ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ተወሰደ
15፥25–16፥3 ተጓ ምብ – 2ሳሙ 6፥12-19
1ዳዊት በስሙ በተጠራችው ከተማ ለራሱ ቤቶችን ሠራ፤ ለእግዚአብሔር ታቦት ቦታ አዘጋጅቶ ድንኳን ተከለ። 2ከዚያም ዳዊት፣ “የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት እንዲሸከሙና ለዘላለም በፊቱ እንዲያገለግሉ እግዚአብሔር ከመረጣቸው ከሌዋውያን በቀር፣ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ማንም አይሸከም” ሲል አዘዘ።
3ዳዊት የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ወዳዘጋጀለት ስፍራ እንዲያመጡ እስራኤልን ሁሉ በኢየሩሳሌም ሰበሰበ።
4የአሮንን ዘሮችና ሌዋውያኑንም በአንድነት ሰበሰበ፤
5ከቀዓት ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን ኡርኤልንና አንድ መቶ ሃያ የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን፤
6ከሜራሪ ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን ዓሣያንና ሁለት መቶ ሃያ የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን፤
7ከጌድሶን ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን ኢዮኤልንና አንድ መቶ ሠላሳ የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን፤
8ከኤሊጻፋን ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን ሸማያንና ሁለት መቶ የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን፤
9ከኬብሮን ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን ኤሊኤልንና ሰማንያ የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን፤
10ከዑዝኤል ዘሮች፣
አለቃውን አሚናዳብንና አንድ መቶ ዐሥራ ሁለት የሥጋ ዘመዶቹን።
11ከዚያም ዳዊት ካህናቱን ሳዶቅንና አብያታርን፣ ሌዋውያኑን ኡርኤልን፣ ዓሣያን፣ ኢዩኤልን፣ ሸማያን፣ ኤሊኤልንና አሚናዳብን ጠርቶ፣ 12እንዲህ አላቸው፤ “እንግዲህ እናንተ የሌዋውያን ቤተ ሰብ አለቆች ስለ ሆናችሁ፣ እናንተና ወንድሞቻችሁ ሌዋውያን ራሳችሁን ቀድሱ፤ ከዚያም የእስራኤልን አምላክ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ወዳዘጋጀሁለት ቦታ አምጡ። 13የአምላካችን የእግዚአብሔር ቍጣ በላያችን ላይ እንዲህ የነደደው እናንተ ሌዋውያኑ ቀድሞም ስላላመጣችሁት ነው፤ እኛም ብንሆን ምን ማድረግ እንዳለብን በታዘዘው መሠረት አልጠየቅነውም።” 14ስለዚህ ካህናቱና ሌዋውያኑ የእስራኤልን አምላክ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ለማምጣት ራሳቸውን ቀደሱ። 15ሙሴ በእግዚአብሔር ቃል እንዳዘዘው፣ ሌዋውያኑ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት በትከሻቸው ላይ በመሎጊያዎች አድርገው ተሸከሙ።
16ዳዊትም በዜማ መሣሪያ፣ ማለትም በመሰንቆ፣ በበገናና በጸናጽል እየታጀቡ የደስታ ዜማዎችን የሚያዜሙ መዘምራንን ከወንድሞቻቸው መካከል እንዲሾሙ ለሌዋውያኑ መሪዎች ነገራቸው።
17ስለዚህ ሌዋውያኑ የኢዮኤልን ልጅ ኤማንን ሾሙ፤ ከወንድሞቹም የበራክያን ልጅ አሳፍን፣ ከወንድሞቻቸው ከሜራሪ ዘሮች የቂሳን ልጅ ኤታንን ሾሙ፤ 18ከእነርሱም ጋር ወንድሞቻቸው በደረጃ ተሾሙ፤ እነርሱም ዘካርያስ15፥18 ሦስት የዕብራይስጥ ቅጆችና በርካታ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕሞች (እንዲሁም ቍ20 እና 1ዜና 16፥5 ይመ)፤ በርካታ የዕብራይስጥ ቅጆች የዘካርያስ ልጅ ወይም ዘካርያስ፣ ቤን ይላሉ።፣ ያዝኤል፣ ሰሚራሞት፣ ይሒኤል፣ ዑኒን፣ ኤልያብ፣ በናያስ፣ መዕሤያን፣ መቲትያ፣ ኤሊፍሌሁ፣ ሚቅኔያ፣ ደግሞም በር ጠባቂዎቹ ዖቤድኤዶምና ይዒኤል15፥18 ዕብራይስጡ ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማል፤ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕም (እንዲሁም ቍ21) ግን ይዒኤልና ዓዛዝያ ይላል። ነበሩ።
19መዘምራኑ ኤማን፣ አሳፍና ኤታን በናስ ጸናጽል ድምፁን ከፍ አድርገው እንዲያሰሙ ተሾሙ፤ 20ዘካርያስ፣ ዓዝኤል፣ ሰሚራሞት፣ ይሒኤል፣ ዑኒ፣ ኤልያብ፣ መዕሤያና በናያስ ደግሞ በአላሞት15፥20 ምናልባት የዜማ ስም ነው። ቅኝት መሰንቆ ይገርፉ ነበር። 21እንዲሁም መቲትያ፣ ኤሊፍሌሁ፣ ሚቅኔያ፣ ዖቤድኤዶም፣ ይዒኤል፣ ዓዛዝያ፣ በሺሚኒት15፥21 ምናልባት የዜማ ስም ነው። ቅኝት በገና ይደረድሩ ነበር። 22የዝማሬው ኀላፊ ሌዋዊው አለቃ ክናንያ ነበረ፤ ይህን ኀላፊነት የወሰደው በዝማሬ የተካነ ስለ ነበር ነው።
23በራክያና ሕልቃና የታቦቱ በር ጠባቂዎች ነበሩ፤ 24ካህናቱ ሰበኒያ፣ ኢዮሣፍጥ፣ ናትናኤል፣ ዓማሣይ፣ ዘካርያስ፣ በናያስና አልዓዛር በእግዚአብሔር ታቦት ፊት መለከት ይነፉ ነበር። ዖቤድኤዶምና ይሒያ ደግሞ የታቦቱ በር ጠባቂዎች ነበሩ።
25ስለዚህ ዳዊት የእስራኤል ሽማግሌዎችና የሻለቃው አዛዦች የእግዚአብሔርን የቃል ኪዳኑን ታቦት ከዖቤድኤዶም ቤት በደስታ ለማምጣት ሄዱ። 26የእግዚአብሔርን የቃል ኪዳን ታቦት የተሸከሙትን ሌዋውያን እግዚአብሔር ረድቷቸው ስለ ነበር፣ ሰባት ኮርማዎችና ሰባት አውራ በጎች ሠዉ። 27ታቦቱን የተሸከሙት ሌዋውያን ሁሉ፣ መዘምራኑና የመዘምራኑ አለቃ ክናንያ የለበሱትን ዐይነት ከቀጭን በፍታ የተሠራ ልብስ ዳዊትም ለብሶ ነበር፤ እንዲሁም ከበፍታ የተሠራ ኤፉድ ለብሶ ነበር። 28በዚህ ሁኔታ መላው የእስራኤል ሕዝብ በሆታ ቀንደ መለከትና እንቢልታ እየነፉ፣ ጸናጽል እየጸነጸሉ፣ መሰንቆና በገና እየደረደሩ የእግዚአብሔርን የኪዳኑን ታቦት አመጡ።
29የእግዚአብሔር የኪዳኑ ታቦት ወደ ዳዊት ከተማ ሲገባ የሳኦል ልጅ ሜልኮል በመስኮት ሆና ተመለከተች፤ ንጉሡ ዳዊት ደስ ብሎት ሲያሸበሽብ አይታ በልቧ ናቀችው።
