栄光に輝く神を賛美しなさい。
世界中の人に、神のすばらしさを伝えなさい。
3ああ神よ。
あなたのなさることの荘厳さに心打たれます。
そのお力の壮大さに圧倒されます。
敵が降伏するのも、もっともです。
4全地はひれ伏し、ご栄光をほめ歌います。
5さあ、神がどんなにすばらしいことをなさったかを
ごらんなさい。
神の民は、驚くべき奇跡を体験するのです。
6神は、海の中に乾いた道を与えてくださいました。
人々はそこを踏みしめて渡りました。
その日、人々はどれほど興奮し、
喜びにあふれたことでしょう。
7神は、偉大な力で永久に支配し、
国々の動静を監視なさるお方です。
謀反を謀る国々は、高慢の鼻をくじかれます。
8すべての人よ、神をほめたたえ、
賛美の歌を歌いなさい。
9私たちのいのちを手中におさめておられるのは、
神なのです。
神はまた、道を踏みはずさないように、
私たちを支えてくださいます。
10ああ神よ。あなたは私たちを、
銀のように炎で精錬なさいました。
11あなたは私たちを網で生け捕りにし、
背中に大きな荷をくくりつけられました。
12軍隊を送って、
息も絶え絶えの私たちを踏みつけにされました。
こうして私たちは、
火の中を通り、
水の中をくぐり抜け、
豊かな地へと導かれました。
13私は今、誓いを果たすため、
火で焼き尽くすいけにえの動物を引いて、
宮へやって来ました。
14苦しみの渦中で私は、
たくさんの供え物をささげますと約束しました。
15それゆえ私は、
雄やぎや雄羊、雄牛を持って来たのです。
このいけにえから立ちのぼる煙は、
きっとあなたのもとに届くでしょう。
16さあ、神を敬う人よ、こちらに来て聞きなさい。
神のなさったさまざまなことをお話ししましょう。
17私は、この口で助けてくださいと叫び、
この舌で神をほめたたえてきました。
18もし私が罪を告白していなかったら、
主は祈りに答えてくださらなかったでしょう。
19しかし、神は身を乗り出すようにして、
私の祈りを聞き届けてくださいました。
20祈りの声を退けず、恵みと愛を
豊かに注いでくださった神をほめたたえます。

16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
