幕屋とその器具、祭司について
1-7主はモーセに命じました。「次のように人々に告げなさい。だれでも心から進んでするなら、ささげ物をわたしのところへ持って来てよい。ささげてよいのは、次のものである。金、銀、青銅、青の撚り糸、紫の撚り糸、緋色の撚り糸、亜麻布、やぎの毛、赤く染めた雄羊のなめし皮、じゅごんの皮、アカシヤ材、ともしび用のオリーブ油、注ぎの油と香に使う香料、しまめのう、エポデと胸当てにはめる宝石類。
8わたしがイスラエルの民の中に住めるよう、聖なる住まい（幕屋）を造りなさい。 9住まいは天幕（テント）にすること。その設計図と必要な器具の細かい寸法は、次のとおりである。
契約の箱
10まずはアカシヤ材を使って長さ二キュビト半（一・一メートル）、幅一キュビト半（六十六センチ）、高さ一キュビト半の箱を作りなさい。 11内側にも外側にも純金を張り、周囲に金の縁飾りをつける。 12金の環を四つ作り、箱の下の四隅につける。片側に二個ずつ。 13-14アカシヤ材で棒を作って金をかぶせ、箱の両側につけた金の環に通してかつげるようにする。 15棒は取りはずさず、差し込んだままにしておかなければならない。 16わたしが与える十のおきて（十戒）を記した石板を、その箱に納めなさい。
17また、純金のふたを作りなさい。長さ二キュビト半、幅一キュビト半にする。これは罪を赦す神の恵みの座となる。 18次にふたの両端に、一対の天使の像を槌で打ち出して作る。 19それは『恵みの座』の一部分で、その両端になる。 20ケルビムというその天使の像は、互いに向かい合って『恵みの座』を見下ろし、翼が金のふたを覆うようにしなければならない。 21ふたができたら箱にかぶせる。箱には十のおきてを記した石板を納めなさい。 22わたしはそこであなたに会い、ケルビムにはさまれた『恵みの座』からあなたと語る。箱にはわたしの契約のおきてを納める。わたしはそこから、イスラエルの人々に命じることをあなたに伝える。
テーブル
23次に、二キュビト（八十八センチ）、幅一キュビト（四十四センチ）、高さ一キュビト半のテーブルをアカシヤ材で作りなさい。 24それに純金を張り、周囲に金の縁飾りをつける。 25テーブルの上部に一手幅（約七・四センチ）のわくをつけ、その周囲にぐるりと金の縁飾りをつける。 26-27テーブルを運ぶ棒を通すために、金の環を四つ作り、それを四本の足の上部に、外側へ向けてつける。 28棒はアカシヤ材で作り、金をかぶせる。 29金で皿、ひしゃく、水差し、細口びんなどを作り、 30テーブルの上には、供え物用に特別なパンをいつも置きなさい。
燭台
31純金のかたまりを槌で打って燭台を作りなさい。燭台は台座と支柱から成り、ともしび皿と飾りの花びらをつける。 32-33真ん中の支柱の両側から三本ずつ枝を出し、それぞれの枝は三つのアーモンドの花で飾る。 34-35真ん中の支柱は四つの花で飾る。三対になっている枝の間に一つずつ、その上に一つ、その下に一つ、計四つの花をつける。 36飾りと枝と支柱はみな、一かたまりの純金を打って作る。 37それに七つのともしび皿を作り、あかりが前を照らすように置く。 38芯切りばさみと芯取り皿も純金で作る。 39燭台とその付属品のために、一タラント（約三十四キログラム）の純金が必要となる。 40作る物はみな、この山の上でわたしが指示する型どおりに、正確に作らなければならない。
Offerings for the tabernacle
1The Lord said to Moses, 2‘Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.
3‘These are the offerings you are to receive from them:
‘gold, silver and bronze;
4blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen;
goat hair;
5ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather25:5 Possibly the hides of large aquatic mammals;
acacia wood;
6olive oil for the light;
spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
7and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
8‘Then let them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
The ark
10‘Let them make an ark25:10 That is, a chest of acacia wood – two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.25:10 That is, about 1.1 metres long and 68 centimetres wide and high; similarly in verse 17 11Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold moulding around it. 12Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. 13Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it. 15The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. 16Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.
17‘Make an atonement cover of pure gold – two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 18And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. 20The cherubim are to have their wings spread upwards, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking towards the cover. 21Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you. 22There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
The table
23‘Make a table of acacia wood – two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.25:23 That is, about 90 centimetres long, 45 centimetres wide and 68 centimetres high 24Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold moulding around it. 25Also make around it a rim a handbreadth25:25 That is, about 7.5 centimetres wide and put a gold moulding on the rim. 26Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. 27The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. 28Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them. 29And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings. 30Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.
The lampstand
31‘Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them. 32Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand – three on one side and three on the other. 33Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand. 34And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. 35One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair – six branches in all. 36The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
37‘Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. 38Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. 39A talent25:39 That is, about 34 kilograms of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. 40See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
