測り縄を持った人（第三の幻）
1もう一度あたりを見回すと、一人の人が手に測り縄（物差しとして用いる縄）を持っているのが見えました。 2「どこへ行くのですか。」「エルサレムを測りに行く。民全員を入れる大きさがあるかどうか、調べたいのだ」とその人は答えました。 3私と話していた御使いが出て行くと、もう一人の御使いが彼に近づき、 4こう言いました。「あの若者に、『いつの日かエルサレムは人であふれ、狭すぎるようになる』と告げなさい。町の城壁の外に多くの人がたくさんの家畜といっしょに住むようになる。それでも危険はない。 5主が、彼らとエルサレム全体を守る火の城壁となるからだ。主はこの町の栄光となる。』
6-7『さあ、北の国から、バビロンから逃げよ』と、主はバビロンに連れて行かれた者に言われる。「わたしはあなたがたを空中に散らしたが、もう一度連れ帰る。さあ、逃れよ、シオンに逃れよ。」 8あなたがたを虐待した国々に私をお遣わしになった主は言う。『あなたがたを害するのは、わたしの目に指を突き刺すのと同じだからだ。 9わたしは、こぶしで彼らを打ちのめし、彼らの奴隷が彼らの支配者となる。』その時あなたがたは、私を遣わした方が全能の主であることを知る。
10エルサレムよ、喜び歌え。わたしが来て、共に住むからだと主は言われる。
11-12その時、多くの国が主に心を向け、彼らもわたしの民となる。わたしは彼らすべてと共に住む。その時あなたがたは、私をあなたがたに遣わした方が全能の主であることを知る。ユダは、聖なる地で神の相続財産となる。神がもう一度エルサレムを選んで祝福するからだ。
13すべての人よ、主の前で静まれ。主が天から、その聖なる住まいから地に来られるからだ。」
1I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof. 3And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him, 4And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 5For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6¶ Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 7Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
10¶ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. 11And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. 12And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. 13Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.2.13 his…: Heb. the habitation of his holiness
