1-2使徒パウロと、私と共にいるクリスチャン全員から、ガラテヤの諸教会の皆さんへ。私は、どこかの団体から任命されたのではありません。イエス・キリストと、キリストを死から復活させた父なる神に直接任命されたのです。 3どうか、父なる神と主イエス・キリストが、平安と祝福をあなたがたに与えてくださいますように。 4キリストは、父なる神のご計画どおり、私たちの罪のために死に、この悪の世界から私たちを救い出してくださいました。 5この神に、すべての栄光が世々かぎりなくありますように。アーメン。
天国への道は一つだけ
6私は、こんなにも早く、あなたがたが神から離れて行くことに驚いています。神様はあなたがたに、キリストを通して永遠のいのちを与えようと、愛と恵みをもって招いてくださったのではありませんか。それなのにもう、あなたがたは別の「天国への道」に踏み込んでいます。そんなものは、天国への道から全くかけ離れています。 7私が教えた道が、唯一の天国への道なのですから。あなたがたは、キリストに関する真理をゆがめて変質させる者たちにだまされているのです。 8私たちが伝えた救いの道以外の道を説くような者は、だれでも――この私であろうと――神にのろわれるべきです。天の使いであっても、永遠にのろわれるべきです。
9もう一度言います。だれであっても、あなたがたが受けた福音（キリストによる救いの知らせ）とは違うものを伝えるなら、神にのろわれるべきです。 10おわかりでしょうが、私は、甘いことばやおせじで人の歓心を買おうとは思いません。ただ、神に喜ばれようとしているのです。もし私が、今なお人の歓心を買いたがっているとしたら、キリストに仕える者とは言えません。
11愛する皆さん。これは厳粛なことなのですが、私が伝えた天国への道は、単なる人間の思いつきや夢に基づくものではありません。 12それはイエス・キリストから示された教えです。私の語るべきことは、イエス・キリストが教えてくださったのです。この方以外のだれからも、指示されたわけではありません。 13以前、ユダヤ教徒であったころの私については、よくご存じのことでしょう。情け容赦なくクリスチャンを追い回して迫害し、その壊滅に全力を尽くしました。 14国中探しても、同年輩のユダヤ人で、私ほど熱心なユダヤ教徒はいなかったでしょう。私は先祖伝来のユダヤ教を守り伝えようと必死になっていました。 15ところが、あることが起こったのです。生まれる前から、私をご自分のものとして選んでおられた神様が、驚くべき愛と恵みをもって、私に声をかけてくださったのです。 16そして私に、神の子イエスを示してくださいました。それは私に、ユダヤ人以外の外国人に、イエス・キリストを伝えさせるためでした。この体験の後、私はすぐだれかに相談するようなことはしませんでした。 17また、以前から使徒に任命されていた人々の意見を聞くために、エルサレムに上ろうともしませんでした。アラビヤの荒野に行き、それからダマスコの町に戻ったのです。
18ペテロに会うためにエルサレムを訪問したのは三年後のことで、その時は、十五日間ペテロのもとに滞在しました。 19その間、ペテロのほかに会った使徒と言えば、主の兄弟ヤコブだけです。 20私のことばをよく聞いてください。これは、実際に起こったことなのです。 21エルサレム訪問のあと、私はシリヤとキリキヤに出かけました。 22ですから、ユダヤのクリスチャンは、私の顔さえ知らなかったのです。 23ただ、彼らの間に、「以前われわれの信仰をつぶそうとした者が、今はそれを宣べ伝えている」といううわさだけは広まっていました。 24そのため、私のことで神をほめたたえていたのです。
1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: 3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. 18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. 19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother. 20Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. 21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; 22And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: 23But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. 24And they glorified God in me.
