ぶどう園の歌
1さあ、私の愛する方のために、
ぶどう園の歌を歌いましょう。
私の愛する方のぶどう園は、
よく肥えた丘の上にありました。
2その方は畑を十分に耕し、石ころを全部取り除き、
最上のぶどうの木を植えました。
見張り台を建て、岩を掘って酒ぶねを造り、
収穫期を楽しみに待ったのです。
ところが、実ったぶどうは野生ですっぱく、
全くの期待はずれでした。
3「エルサレムとユダ王国の者たちよ。
このような訴えがなされた。あなたが裁判官だ。
4わたしはこのうえ、いったい何ができよう。
ここまでしたのに、なぜわたしのぶどう園は
甘いぶどうではなく、野生のぶどうを実らせたのか。
5さくを壊し、ぶどう園を牧場にして、
家畜や羊の踏みにじるままにするほかない。
6枝を下ろしたり雑草を除いたりせず、
いばらのはびこるままにしておこう。
もう二度と雨を降らせないよう、雲に命じよう。」
7このぶどう園というのは神の民のことです。
イスラエルとユダは、神のお気に入りの土地でした。
神はそこが正義の国となるのを期待していたのに、
実際に目にしたのは流血でした。
正しいことが行われるようにと願っていたのに、
実際に耳にしたのは、
しいたげられた人たちの叫びでした。
8土地はどんどん買い占められ、
住む所さえない人が大ぜいいました。
それなのにあなたがたは、広々とした土地の真ん中に
大邸宅をかまえ、まるでこの地は全部
自分のものだと言わんばかりの顔をしています。
9しかし、それも今のうちです。
天の軍勢の主は、あなたがたが
きっと恐ろしい目に会うと予告しています。
「多くの美しい邸宅が荒れ果て、
そこに住む者は殺されるか、行方不明になる」
と告げるのを、この耳ではっきり聞きました。
10十ツェメド（十組の牛が一日で耕す面積）のぶどう園から、
たった一バテ（二十三リットル）のぶどう汁も取れず、
一ホメル（二百三十リットル）の種をまいても、
たった一エパ（二十三リットル）の収穫しかありません。
11朝早くから夜ふけまで酒をあびる者は、
必ず災難に会います。
飲んだくれはひどい目に会います。
12あなたがたの豪勢な宴会には心地よい音楽が流れ、
雇った音楽隊も一流のものです。
ところが主のことは頭にありません。
13「だから、おまえたちを捕虜として
遠い国へ連れて行く。
おまえたちは、わたしにどんなによくされたか
知りもせず、心にも留めていない。
大いに尊敬される者さえ飢え、
庶民は飲む水もなく、渇きで死ぬ。」
14地獄は、エルサレムという、
おいしそうなごちそうを前にして舌なめずりし、
その市民を飲んだくれた群衆もろとものみ込みます。
15その日には、傲慢な者もちりの中にひれ伏し、
尊大な者も腰を低くします。
16天の軍勢の主だけが、ひときわたたえられるのです。
きよく正しい方は主だけだからです。
17その時、廃墟の中では家畜の群れが草を食べ、
子羊と子牛、子やぎがたわむれます。
18雄牛に綱をつけて引くように
自分の罪を引きずり歩く者はひどい目に会います。
19イスラエルのきよい神さえさげすみ、
罰を受けることなど平気だという顔で言うのです。
「主よ、罰するなら早く罰してください。
あなたの力のほどを拝見したいものです。」
20彼らは白を黒、黒を白と言い、
苦いものを甘い、甘いものを苦いと言い張ります。
21自分には知恵があると思い、利口ぶる者は、
ひどい目に会います。
22酒ならだれにも負けないと豪語する者も同じです。
23彼らはわいろをもらって正義を曲げ、
悪者を保釈して罪のない者を牢にたたき込みます。
24それゆえ神は彼らをきつく罰し、火で焼くのです。
彼らはわらのように、あっという間に燃え尽きます。
その根はたちまち腐り、花はしぼみます。
主の教えを捨て、
イスラエルのきよい神のことばを軽んじたからです。
25だからこそ、主は
イスラエルに向かって怒りを燃え上がらせ、
御手を下して彼らを打ったのです。
丘々は震え、
人々のしかばねがごみのように町の中に捨てられます。
それでもまだ神の怒りが収まったわけではありません。
御手はなおも重くのしかかります。
26神が遠く離れた国々に合図を送り、
地の果ての人たちを笛で呼ぶと、
彼らはエルサレムへなだれ込みます。
27彼らは全く疲れを知らず、
つまずいたり立ち止まったりしません。
腰のベルトはきつく締まり、
くつひもも丈夫で切れません。
休むことも眠ることもなく走り続けます。
28その矢じりは研ぎすまされ、弓はいっぱいに張られ、
馬のひづめは火花を散らし、
戦車の車輪は風車のように回ります。
29彼らはライオンのようにほえ、獲物に襲いかかって
わたしの民をつかまえ、捕虜として連れ去りますが、
誰ひとり彼らを救い出す者はいません。
30海鳴りのようなうなり声とともに、
犠牲者を、ひと呑みにします。
イスラエル中が絶望のやみと悲しみに沈み、
空は暗黒になります。

26¶ And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: 27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: 28Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: 29Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it. 30And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.5.30 sorrow: or, distress5.30 and the light…: or, when it is light, it shall be dark in the destructions thereof
