Die Lagerplätze Israels beim Zug durch die Wüste
1-2Mose hatte auf Anweisung des Herrn alle Lagerplätze der Israeliten aufgeschrieben, seit sie unter seiner und Aarons Führung von Ägypten aufgebrochen waren. An folgenden Orten hatten sie, nach Heeresverbänden geordnet, das Lager aufgeschlagen:
3Am 15. Tag des 1. Monats, am Morgen nach der Passahfeier, zogen die Israeliten von Ramses los. Die Ägypter mussten zusehen, wie das Volk voller Zuversicht das Land verließ. 4Der Herr hatte sein Urteil an den ägyptischen Göttern vollstreckt und die erstgeborenen Söhne der Ägypter umgebracht. Während man die Toten begrub, 5zogen die Israeliten von Ramses nach Sukkot. Hier schlugen sie ihr erstes Lager auf. 6Dann ging es weiter nach Etam am Rand der Wüste. 7Dort bogen sie nach Pi-Hahirot bei Baal-Zefon ab und lagerten vor Migdol. 8Von hier aus zogen sie mitten durchs Meer. Auf der anderen Seite führte ihr Weg drei Tagereisen lang durch die Wüste Etam bis nach Mara, dem nächsten Lagerplatz. 9Von dort ging es weiter nach Elim, einer Oase mit zwölf Quellen und siebzig Palmen. Nachdem sie hier gelagert hatten, 10brachen sie zum Ufer des Roten Meers auf. 11Danach kamen sie in die Wüste Sin.
12Ihre nächsten Haltepunkte waren: Dofka, 13Alusch, 14Refidim, wo sie kein Trinkwasser hatten, 15dann die Wüste Sinai, 16Kibrot-Taawa, 17Hazerot, 18Ritma, 19Rimmon-Perez, 20Libna, 21Rissa, 22Kehelata, 23der Berg Schefer, 24Harada, 25Makhelot, 26Tahat, 27Tarach, 28Mitka, 29Haschmona, 30Moserot, 31Bene-Jaakan, 32Hor-Gidgad, 33Jotbata, 34Abrona, 35Ezjon-Geber, 36Kadesch in der Wüste Zin 37und der Berg Hor an der Grenze des Landes Edom.
38Der Herr befahl dem Priester Aaron, auf den Berg Hor zu steigen. Dort starb Aaron am 1. Tag des 5. Monats, vierzig Jahre nachdem die Israeliten Ägypten verlassen hatten. 39Er wurde 123 Jahre alt.
40Um diese Zeit erfuhr der Kanaaniterkönig, der in Arad im Süden von Kanaan regierte, dass die Israeliten auf sein Land zukamen.
41Vom Berg Hor zogen sie nach Zalmona weiter. 42Ihre nächsten Lagerplätze waren Punon, 43Obot, 44Ije-Abarim im Gebiet von Moab, 45Dibon-Gad, 46Almon-Diblatajim 47und das Gebirge Abarim nahe der Stadt Nebo. 48Von hier aus stiegen sie ins Jordantal hinab und schlugen in der moabitischen Steppe gegenüber von Jericho ihr Lager auf. 49Es erstreckte sich von Bet-Jeschimot bis nach Abel-Schittim.
Alle Bewohner von Kanaan sollen vertrieben werden
50Dort sprach der Herr zu Mose: 51»Sag den Israeliten: Wenn ihr über den Jordan zieht und ins Land Kanaan eindringt, 52sollt ihr alle Bewohner vertreiben. Zerstört ihre Götterfiguren aus Stein und Metall! Reißt die Opferstätten ab, die sie auf den Bergen und Hügeln gebaut haben! 53Nehmt das ganze Land in Besitz und lasst euch dort nieder, denn es ist mein Geschenk an euch. 54Teilt die einzelnen Gebiete durch das Los unter euch auf! Dabei sollt ihr den großen Stämmen mehr Land geben als den kleinen. 55Wenn ihr aber nicht alle Bewohner des Landes vertreibt, werden euch die Zurückgebliebenen das Leben schwer machen. Sie werden euch quälen wie Splitter im Auge und Dornen unter den Füßen. 56Dann werde ich mit euch tun, was ich mit ihnen vorhatte.«
The Places Where Israel Camped During Their Journey
1Here are the places where the Israelites camped during their journey. When they came out of Egypt, they marched in groups like an army. Moses and Aaron led them. 2The Lord commanded Moses to record their journey. Here are the places where they camped.
3The Israelites started out from Rameses on the 15th day of the first month. It was the day after the Passover Feast. They marched out boldly in plain sight of all the Egyptians. 4The Egyptians were burying all their oldest sons. The Lord had struck them down. He had done it when he punished their gods.
5The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.
6They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham. Etham was on the edge of the desert.
7They left Etham and turned back to Pi Hahiroth. It was east of Baal Zephon. They camped near Migdol.
8They left Pi Hahiroth. Then they passed through the Red Sea into the desert. They traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham. Then they camped at Marah.
9They left Marah and went to Elim. Twelve springs and 70 palm trees were there. So they camped at Elim.
10They left Elim and camped by the Red Sea.
11They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.
12They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.
13They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.
14They left Alush and camped at Rephidim. But there was no water there for the people to drink.
15They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai.
16They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.
17They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.
18They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.
19They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.
20They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.
21They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.
22They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.
23They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.
24They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.
25They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth.
26They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath.
27They left Tahath and camped at Terah.
28They left Terah and camped at Mithkah.
29They left Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah.

31They left Moseroth and camped at Bene Jaakan.
32They left Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Haggidgad.

36They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh. Kadesh was in the Desert of Zin.
37They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor. It was on the border of Edom. 38Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor when the Lord commanded him to. That’s where he died. It happened on the first day of the fifth month. It was the 40th year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. 39Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40The Canaanite king of Arad lived in the Negev Desert in Canaan. He heard that the Israelites were coming.
41They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
42They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
43They left Punon and camped at Oboth.
44They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim. It was on the border of Moab.
45They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.
46They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.
47They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim near Nebo.
48They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab. That area was by the Jordan River across from Jericho. 49They camped there along the Jordan River from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim.
50On the plains of Moab the Lord spoke to Moses. He spoke to him by the Jordan River across from Jericho. The Lord said, 51“Speak to the Israelites. Tell them, ‘Go across the Jordan River into Canaan. 52Drive out all those living in the land. The statues of their gods are made out of stone and metal. Destroy all those statues. And destroy all the high places where they are worshiped. 53Take the land as your own. Make your homes in it. I have given it to you. 54Cast lots when you divide up the land. Do it based on the number of people in each tribe and family. Give a larger share to a larger group. And give a smaller group a smaller share. The share they receive by casting lots will belong to them. Give out the shares based on the number of people in Israel’s tribes.
55“ ‘But suppose you do not drive out the people living in the land. Then those you allow to remain there will become like needles in your eyes. They will become like thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. 56Then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’ ”
