Nagpromisa ang Dios nga Pakamaayuhon Niya ang Jerusalem
1-2Nagsiling liwat ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom kay Zacarias, “Nagakabalaka gid ako sa Zion. Kag tungod sa akon dako nga pagkabalaka, akig gid ako sa iya mga kaaway. 3Mabalik ako sa Zion, ang siyudad sang Jerusalem, kag magaestar dira. Dayon pagatawgon ang Jerusalem nga Matutom nga Siyudad kag pagatawgon ang akon bukid8:3 bukid: Ang Bukid sang Zion nga sa diin nagatindog ang templo. nga Balaan nga Bukid. 4Sa liwat magapungko sa mga plasa sang Jerusalem ang mga tigulang nga nagasungkod sa puwerte nga katigulangon. 5Kag mapuno ang mga plasa sang mga kabataan nga nagahampang.”8:5 Ang buot silingon sang sini nga mga bersikulo, hatagan sang Dios ang iya katawhan sang malawig nga kabuhi kag madamo nga mga kabataan.
6Nagsiling pa ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Siguro daw imposible ini para sa akon katawhan nga nagkalabilin, pero indi ini imposible sa akon. 7Luwason ko ang akon katawhan nga ginbihag sa mga duta sa sidlangan kag sa nakatundan. 8Dal-on ko sila pabalik sa Jerusalem kag paestaron didto. Sa liwat sila mangin akon katawhan kag ako mangin ila Dios nga matutom kag matarong.”
9Nagsiling pa gid ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Ini nga mensahi ginhambal man sang mga propeta sang tion nga gintukod liwat ang pundasyon sang akon templo. Kag karon nga nabatian naman ninyo ini, magpakabakod kamo agod nga matapos ninyo ang pagpatindog sang templo. 10Sang wala pa masugdan ang pagpatindog liwat sang templo, mabudlay ang inyo kahimtangan pati ang kahimtangan sang mga sapat. Wala kamo sing suweldo kag delikado bisan diin tungod kay ginpaaway ko ang mga tawo. 11Pero karon, ako, ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, nagasiling nga indi ko na ina paghimuon sa inyo nga mga nagkalabilin. 12Magatanom kamo nga may kalinong.8:12 Magatanom… kalinong: ukon, Magatubo sing maayo ang mga binhi. Magapamunga ang mga ubas, magapatubas ang duta, kag may tun-og na. Ihatag ko ini tanan sa inyo nga mga nagkalabilin, kag mangin inyo gid ini. 13Mga katawhan sang Juda kag Israel, ginapakamalaot kamo sang iban nga mga nasyon. Pero luwason ko kamo kag mangin pagpakamaayo kamo sa ila. Gani indi kamo magkahadlok kundi magpakabakod kamo.”
14Nagsiling pa ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Sang ginpaakig ako sang inyo nga katigulangan, nagdesisyon ako nga silutan ko kamo kag indi pagkaluoyan. 15Pero karon nagdesisyon ako nga magmaayo ako liwat sa Jerusalem kag Juda. Gani indi kamo magkahadlok. 16Amo ini ang dapat ninyo himuon: Magsugid kamo sing matuod sa isa kag isa. Maghukom kamo sing husto sa korte para sa kaayuhan sang tanan. 17Indi kamo magplano sing malain kontra sa inyo isigkatawo, kag indi kamo magsagi sumpa sing butig. Kay ginakaugtan ko ina tanan nga butang.”
18-19Nagsiling liwat ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom kay Zacarias, “Ang pagpuasa sa ikaapat, ikalima, ikapito, kag ikanapulo nga bulan mangin masinadyahon nga okasyon para sa katawhan sang Juda. Gani higugmaa ninyo ang kamatuoran kag ang kalinong.8:18-19 kalinong: ukon, maayo nga relasyon sa isa kag isa. 20Madamo nga mga katawhan halin sa nagkalain-lain nga siyudad ang magakadto sa Jerusalem. 21Ang mga pumuluyo sang isa ka siyudad magakadto sa isa ka siyudad kag magasiling, ‘Malakat kami sa pagpangamuyo kag sa pagdangop sa Ginoo nga Makagagahom. Dali, upod kamo!’
22“Madamo nga mga katawhan halin sa gamhanan nga mga nasyon ang magakadto sa Jerusalem sa pagpangamuyo kag sa pagdangop sa akon. 23Kag sa sina nga tion, ang napulo ka tawo nga halin sa iban nga mga nasyon nga may nagkalain-lain nga lingguahe magakadto sa isa ka Judio kag magasiling, ‘Gusto gid namon nga mag-upod sa inyo, tungod nabatian namon nga ang Dios kaupod ninyo.’ ”
1Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 2Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. 3Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. 4Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.8.4 very…: Heb. multitude of days 5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. 6Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.8.6 marvellous: or, hard, or, difficult 7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;8.7 the west…: Heb. the country of the going down of the sun 8And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9¶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 10For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.8.10 there was…: or, the hire of man became nothing 11But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. 12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.8.12 prosperous: Heb. of peace 13And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 14For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 15So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16¶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:8.16 execute…: Heb. judge truth, and the judgment of peace 17And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
18¶ And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, 19Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.8.19 feasts: or, solemn, or, set times 20Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: 21And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.8.21 speedily: or, continually: Heb. going8.21 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 22Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.8.22 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 23Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
