Salmo 115
Isa lang gid ang Matuod nga Dios
1Ginoo, indi kami ang dapat padunggan kundi ikaw,
tungod sang imo gugma kag katutom.
2Ngaa ginainsulto kami sang iban nga mga nasyon paagi sa pagsiling, “Diin na bala ang inyo Dios?”
3Ang amon Dios ara sa langit kag ginahimo niya ang bisan ano nga iya naluyagan.
4Pero ang ila mga dios-dios hinimo man lang sang tawo halin sa pilak kag bulawan.
5May mga baba ini, pero indi makahambal;
may mga mata, pero indi makakita.
6May mga dulunggan, pero indi makabati;
may mga ilong, pero indi makapanimaho.
7May mga kamot, pero indi makauyat;
may mga tiil, pero indi makalakat,
kag bisan tingog wala ka sing may mabatian.
8Ang nagahimo sang sini nga mga dios-dios kag ang tanan nga nagasalig sa ila mangin pareho man sa ila nga wala sing pulos.
9-10Kamo nga katawhan sang Israel, pati na kamo nga mga kaliwat ni Aaron, magsalig kamo sa Ginoo.
Siya ang inyo manugbulig kag manugprotektar.
11Kamo nga mga nagatahod sa Ginoo, magsalig kamo sa iya.
Siya ang inyo manugbulig kag manugprotektar.
12Ginadumdom kita sang Ginoo, kag pakamaayuhon niya kita.
Pakamaayuhon niya ang katawhan sang Israel pati na ang mga kaliwat ni Aaron.
13Pakamaayuhon niya ang tanan nga nagatahod sa iya, bantog man ukon indi.
14Kabay pa nga kamo kag ang inyo mga kaliwat padamuon sang Ginoo.
15Kabay pa nga pakamaayuhon kamo sang Ginoo nga nagtuga sang kalangitan kag sang kalibutan.
16Ang kalangitan iya sang Ginoo, pero ang kalibutan gintugyan niya sa mga tawo.
17Indi ang mga patay ang magadayaw sa Ginoo, kay indi na gani sila makatingog,
18kundi kita nga mga buhi amo ang magadayaw sa iya subong kag hasta san-o.
Dayawa ang Ginoo!
Psalm 115
1Lord, may glory be given to you, not to us.
You are loving and faithful.
2Why do the nations ask,
“Where is their God?”
3Our God is in heaven.
He does anything he wants to do.
4But the statues of their gods are made out of silver and gold.
They are made by human hands.
5They have mouths but can’t speak.
They have eyes but can’t see.
6They have ears but can’t hear.
They have noses but can’t smell.
7They have hands but can’t feel.
They have feet but can’t walk.
They have throats but can’t say anything.
8Those who make statues of gods will be like them.
So will all those who trust in them.
9All you Israelites, trust in the Lord.
He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.
10Priests of Aaron, trust in the Lord.
He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.
11You who have respect for the Lord, trust in him.
He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.
12The Lord remembers us and will bless us.
He will bless Israel, his people.
He will bless the priests of Aaron.
13The Lord will bless those who have respect for him.
He will bless important and unimportant people alike.
14May the Lord give you many children.
May he give them to you and to your children after you.
15May the Lord bless you.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth.
16The highest heavens belong to the Lord.
But he has given the earth to human beings.
17Dead people don’t praise the Lord.
Those who lie quietly in the grave don’t praise him.
18But we who are alive praise the Lord,
both now and forever.
Praise the Lord.
