Ang Mensahi Parte sa Egipto kag sa Etiopia
1Suno sa sugo ni Haring Sargon sang Asiria, ginsalakay sang kumander sang mga soldado sang Asiria ang Ashdod, kag gin-agaw ini. 2Antes ini natabo, nagsiling ang Ginoo kay Isaias nga anak ni Amoz, “Ubaha ang imo bayo nga sako pati ang imo sandalyas.” Gintuman ini ni Isaias, kag naglakat-lakat siya nga wala sing bayo kag nagatiniil.
3Sang ulihi nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Ang akon alagad nga si Isaias naglakat-lakat nga wala sing bayo kag nagatiniil sa sulod sang tatlo ka tuig. Ini isa ka simbolo nga nagapaandam sa Egipto kag sa Etiopia.20:3 Etiopia: sa Hebreo, Cush. 4Kay pagabihagon sang hari sang Asiria ang mga taga-Egipto kag taga-Etiopia,20:4 taga-Etiopia: sa Hebreo, taga-Cush. bata man ukon tigulang. Pagabihagon sila, nga wala sing bayo kag nagatiniil. Makita ang ila mga buli, kag mahuy-an gid ang Egipto. 5Ang mga nagasalig sa Etiopia kag nagapabugal sa Egipto matublag kag mahuy-an. 6Sa tion nga matabo ini, magasiling ang mga Filistinhon,20:6 Filistinhon: sa literal, nagaestar sa mga lugar nga malapit sa dagat. ‘Tan-awa ang natabo sa mga nasyon nga ginsaligan naton kag ginpangayuan sang bulig sa pagluwas sa aton sa hari sang Asiria. Ti, paano na kita maluwas?’ ”
A Prophecy Against Egypt and Cush
1In the year that the supreme commander, sent by Sargon king of Assyria, came to Ashdod and attacked and captured it— 2at that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz. He said to him, “Take off the sackcloth from your body and the sandals from your feet.” And he did so, going around stripped and barefoot.
3Then the Lord said, “Just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years, as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush,20:3 That is, the upper Nile region; also in verse 5 4so the king of Assyria will lead away stripped and barefoot the Egyptian captives and Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared—to Egypt’s shame. 5Those who trusted in Cush and boasted in Egypt will be dismayed and put to shame. 6In that day the people who live on this coast will say, ‘See what has happened to those we relied on, those we fled to for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?’ ”
