Ang Babilonia Gamiton sang Dios Bilang Espada sa Pagsilot sa Israel
1Nagsiling ang Ginoo sa akon, 2“Tawo, mag-atubang ka sa Jerusalem kag maghambal kontra sa Israel kag sa mga simbahan sini. 3Silinga sila nga ako, ang Ginoong Dios, nagasiling: Kontra ko kamo! Gabuton ko ang akon espada kag pamatyon ko kamo tanan, maayo man ukon malain. 4Huo, pamatyon ko kamo tanan sang akon espada halin sa bagatnan hasta sa aminhan. 5Dayon mahibaluan sang tanan nga ako amo ang Ginoo. Gin-gabot ko ang akon espada, kag indi ko ini pag-ibalik sa iya tagob hasta nga indi matapos ang pagpamatay sini.
6“Gani tawo, mag-ugayong ka sa puwerte nga kasubo kag kasakit sang tagipusuon. Mag-ugayong ka sa ila atubangan. 7Kon mamangkot sila kon ngaa nagaugayong ka, silinga sila nga tungod sa balita nga makapakurog, makapaluya, makapahadlok kag makapalipong sa ila. Matabo gid ini nga mga butang sa indi madugay. Ako, ang Ginoong Dios, ang nagasiling sini.”
8Nagsiling pa gid ang Ginoo sa akon, 9-10“Tawo, ihambal ang akon mensahi sa mga tawo. Silinga sila nga ako, ang Ginoo, nagasiling: Ginbaid ko ang akon espada para sa pagpamatay sa inyo. Ginpahining ko gid ini agod mag-igrab pareho sang kilat. Ti magakalipay pa bala kamo? Yagutaon pa bala ninyo ang akon mga pagdisiplina sa inyo?21:9-10 Yagutaon… sa inyo?: Indi klaro ang buot silingon sang Hebreo sini. 11Ginbaid ko ang akon espada kag ginpahining, kag handa na ini nga gamiton sa pagpamatay.
12“Tawo, maghibi ka sing tudo kag pukpuka ang imo dughan sa kasubo kay ina nga espada magapatay sa akon katawhan nga mga Israelinhon kag sa ila mga pangulo. 13Ini isa ka pagtilaw sa akon katawhan. Indi sila maghunahuna nga indi ko pagpadayunon ang akon pagdisiplina nga ginayaguta nila. Ako, ang Ginoong Dios, ang nagasiling sini. 14Gani, tawo, magsugid ka sang akon mensahi. Isumbag ang imo inumol sa imo palad sa kaakig, kag magkuha ka sang espada kag ilabo ini sing duha ukon tatlo ka beses bilang simbolo nga madamo ang magakalamatay sa ila sa inaway. 15Magakurog sila sa kahadlok kag madamo ang malaglag sa ila. Ginbutang ko na ang espada sa mga puwertahan sang ila siyudad sa pagpatay sa ila. Nagaigrab ini pareho sang kilat kag handa sa pagpamatay. 16O espada, magpanglabo ka sa wala kag sa tuo. Magpanglabo ka bisan diin ka magliso. 17Isumbag ko man ang akon inumol sa akon palad sa kaakig, kag dayon madula ang akon kaakig. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.”
18Nagsiling ang Ginoo sa akon, 19“Tawo, maghimo ka sang mapa kag markahi ini sang duha ka dalan nga pagaagyan sang hari sang Babilonia nga may dala nga espada. Ining duha ka dalan magaumpisa sa Babilonia. Magbutang ka sang karatula sa ginsang-an sang duha ka dalan agod mahibaluan kon diin pakadto ining duha ka dalan. 20Ang isa ka dalan pakadto sa Raba, ang kapital sang Ammon, kag ang isa pakadto sa Jerusalem, ang napaderan nga kapital sang Juda. 21Kay ang hari sang Babilonia magatindog sa ginsang-an sang duha ka dalan kag hibaluon niya kon sa diin siya nga dalan maagi paagi sa paggabot-gabot sang pana,21:21 Ang mga pana ginabutangan sang ngalan sang tawo ukon lugar, dayon ginauyog, kag pagkatapos ginagabot ang isa. pagpamangkot sa mga dios-dios, kag pagtan-aw sing maayo sa atay sang sapat nga ginhalad. 22Ang iya magabot nga pana amo ang may marka nga Jerusalem. Dayon magasinggit siya sa pagsalakay sa Jerusalem kag sa pagpamatay sang mga pumuluyo sini. Magabutang siya sang dalagko nga mga kahoy nga pangwasak sa puwertahan sang Jerusalem. Magahimo siya sang tore-tore kag magatumpok sang duta sa kilid sang pader sang siyudad agod mataklas ini. 23Indi makapati ang mga taga-Jerusalem nga matabo ini sa ila tungod kay may kasugtanan sila sa Babilonia. Pero ang hari sang Babilonia magapadumdom sa ila sang ila mga sala, kag dayon pagabihagon niya sila.
24“Gani ako, ang Ginoong Dios, nagasiling sa ila: Ang inyo mga sala nabuyagyag, kag ginapakita gid ninyo kon daw ano kamo ka rebelde kag makasasala. Tungod nga ginahimo ninyo ini, ipabihag ko kamo.
25“Ikaw nga malaot kag makasasala nga pangulo sang Israel, nag-abot na ang tion nga silutan ka! 26Ako, ang Ginoong Dios, nagasiling: Kuhaa ang imo turban kag korona, kay ang tanan lain na. Ang mga kubos mangin dungganon, kag ang mga dungganon mangin kubos. 27Laglagon ko gid ang Jerusalem! Indi ini pagpatindugon liwat hasta nga mag-abot ang akon pinili nga magahukom sa sini nga siyudad; kay siya ang akon gintugyanan sini.
28“Kag ikaw nga tawo, silinga ang mga Ammonhon nga nagainsulto sa Israel nga ako, ang Ginoong Dios, nagasiling sa ila: Handa na ang espada sa pagpamatay. Ginpahining gid ini agod mag-igrab pareho sang kilat. 29Indi matuod ang mga palanan-awon kag mga tagna nga nabaton ninyo parte sa espada. Ang matuod, handa na ang espada sa pag-utod sang mga liog sang mga malaot nga tawo. Ang tion sang pagsilot sa ila nag-abot na. 30Ibalik ko bala ang espada sa tagob? Indi! Sentensyahan ko kamo sa inyo mismo nasyon, sa lugar nga sa diin kamo natawo. 31Ipaagom ko sa inyo ang akon puwerte nga kaakig, kag itugyan ko kamo sa mapintas nga mga tawo, nga hanas sa pagpamatay. 32Mangin gatong kamo, kag ang inyo dugo magaagay sa inyo duta. Wala sing may magdumdom sa inyo. Matabo gid ini, kay ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.”
1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel, 3And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. 4Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: 5That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more. 6Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes. 7And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.21.7 shall be weak…: Heb. shall go into water
8¶ Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 9Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: 10It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.21.10 it contemneth…: or, it is the rod of my son, it despiseth every tree 11And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. 12Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.21.12 terrors…: or, they are thrust down to the sword with my people 13Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD.21.13 Because…: or, When the trial hath been, what then? shall they not also belong to the despising rod? 14Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.21.14 hands…: Heb. hand to hand 15I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.21.15 point: or, glittering, or, fear21.15 wrapped up: or, sharpened 16Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.21.16 or on…: Heb. set thyself, take the left hand 17I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
18¶ The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, 19Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city. 20Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. 21For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.21.21 parting of: Heb. mother of21.21 arrows: or, knives21.21 images: Heb. teraphim 22At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.21.22 captains: or, battering rams: Heb. rams 23And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.21.23 to them…: or, for the oaths made unto them 24Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
25¶ And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, 26Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. 27I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.21.27 I will overturn…: Heb. 28¶ And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: 29Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end. 30Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.21.30 Shall…: or, Cause it to return 31And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.21.31 brutish: or, burning 32Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.
