Ang Ginahimo nga Malaw-ay Dapat Ikahuya
1May nabalitaan ako nga may ara dira sa inyo nga nagapakighilawas sa asawa sang iya amay. Ini sobra pa sa ginahimo sang mga wala nakakilala sa Dios, kay wala gani sila nagahimo sina. 2Kag sa pihak sina nahimo pa ninyo nga magpabugal. Dapat kuntani nagpangasubo kamo kag ginpahalin ninyo sa inyo grupo ang lalaki nga naghimo sina. 3-4Bisan wala ako dira sa inyo sa lawas, ara ako dira sa espiritu. Kag sa ngalan5:3-4 ngalan: buot silingon, gahom ukon awtoridad. sang aton Ginoong Jesus, ginsentensyahan ko na ang naghimo sina nga sala. Gani sa inyo pagtilipon, kabiga ninyo nga ara ako upod sa inyo sa espiritu. Kag suno sa gahom nga ginhatag sa aton sang aton Ginoong Jesus, 5itugyan ninyo ina nga tawo kay Satanas sa paglaglag sang iya lawas agod maluwas ang iya espiritu sa adlaw sang paghukom sang Ginoo.
6Indi kamo dapat magpabugal. Indi bala nahibaluan ninyo ang hulubaton nga nagasiling, “Kon ibutang ang gamay nga inugpahabok5:6 ukon, lebadura. Sa English, yeast. sa harina kag masahon, magahabok ang bug-os nga harina.” 7Gani kuhaa ninyo ang inyo daan nga mga sala nga pareho sa inugpahabok, agod mangin matinlo kag bag-o kamo. Ang matuod, hilway na kamo sa sining daan nga inugpahabok, kay si Cristo ginhalad na para sa aton. Pareho siya sa karnero nga ginahalad kon Piesta sang Paglabay sang Anghel. 8Gani magselebrar kita sang sina nga piesta, kag magkaon sang tinapay nga wala sing inugpahabok, nga ang buot silingon talikdan ta na ang aton daan nga mga sala kag mga ginahimo nga malain, kag magkabuhi kita nga matinlo na sa sala, nga sinsero gid ang aton pagsunod sa kamatuoran.
9Sa una ko nga sulat nga ginpadala sa inyo, nagsiling ako nga indi kamo magpakig-upod sa mga nagahimo sang imoral nga pagpakigrelasyon. 10Ang buot ko silingon, indi ang mga tawo nga wala pa makakilala sa Dios nga mga imoral ukon mga dalok-dalok kag mga kawatan, ukon mga nagasimba sa mga dios-dios. Kay kon sila inyo likawan, kinahanglan maghalin kamo sa sini nga kalibutan. 11Ang akon ginatumod amo atong mga tawo nga nagapakilala nga mga utod man sa Ginoo pero mga imoral, dalok-dalok, nagasimba sa mga dios-dios, mapasipalahon, palahubog, kag kawatan. Indi kamo dapat mag-upod sa ila bisan sa pagkaon.
12-13Kon sa bagay ano ang aton labot sa paghukom sa mga indi tumuluo? Ang Dios lang ang magahukom sa ila. Pero kinahanglan gid nga binagbinagon ta kon maayo ukon malain ang ginahimo sang aton kapareho nga tumuluo, kay nagasiling ang Kasulatan, “Pahalina ninyo sa inyo grupo ang tawo nga malaot.”5:12-13 Deu. 17:7.
Dealing with a case of incest
1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: a man is sleeping with his father’s wife. 2And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this? 3For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this. 4So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,5:5 In contexts like this, the Greek word for flesh (sarx) refers to the sinful state of human beings, often presented as a power in opposition to the Spirit.5:5 Or of his body so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
6Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? 7Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch – as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people – 10not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister5:11 The Greek word for brother or sister (adelphos) refers here to a believer, whether man or woman, as part of God’s family; also in 8:11, 13. but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. ‘Expel the wicked person from among you.’5:13 Deut. 13:5; 17:7; 19:19; 21:21; 22:21,24; 24:7
