Salmo de los hijos de Coré. Cántico.
1Los cimientos de la ciudad de Dios87:1 Los cimientos de la ciudad de Dios. Lit. Los cimientos de él.
están en el santo monte.
2El Señor ama las entradas de Sión
más que todas las moradas de Jacob.
3De ti, ciudad de Dios,
se dicen cosas gloriosas: Selah
4«Entre los que me reconocen
puedo contar a Rahab y a Babilonia,
a Filistea y a Tiro, lo mismo que a Cus.
Se dice: “Este nació en Sión”».
5De Sión se dirá, en efecto:
«Este y aquel nacieron en ella.
El Altísimo mismo la ha establecido».
6El Señor anotará en el registro de los pueblos:
«Este nació en Sión». Selah
7Y mientras cantan y bailan, dicen:
«En ti se hallan todos mis orígenes».87:7 todos mis orígenes. Lit. todas mis fuentes.

Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song.
1He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
2The Lord loves the gates of Zion
more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
3Glorious things are said of you,
city of God:87:3 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verse 6.
4‘I will record Rahab87:4 A poetic name for Egypt and Babylon
among those who acknowledge me –
Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush87:4 That is, the upper Nile region –
and will say, “This one was born in Zion.” ’87:4 Or ‘I will record concerning those who acknowledge me: / “This one was born in Zion.” / Hear this, Rahab and Babylon, / and you too, Philistia, Tyre and Cush.’
5Indeed, of Zion it will be said,
‘This one and that one were born in her,
and the Most High himself will establish her.’
6The Lord will write in the register of the peoples:
‘This one was born in Zion.’
7As they make music they will sing,
‘All my fountains are in you.’
