1Dios es conocido en Judá;
su nombre es exaltado en Israel.
2En Salén se halla su santuario;
en Sión está su morada.
3Allí hizo pedazos las centelleantes flechas,
los escudos, las espadas, las armas de guerra. Selah
4Estás rodeado de esplendor;
eres más imponente que las montañas eternas.76:4 montañas eternas (LXX); montañas donde hay presa (TM).
5Los valientes yacen ahora despojados;
han caído en el sopor de la muerte.
Ninguno de esos hombres aguerridos
volverá a levantar sus manos.
6Cuando tú, Dios de Jacob, los reprendiste,
quedaron pasmados jinetes y corceles.
7Tú, y solo tú, eres temido.
¿Quién puede hacerte frente
cuando se enciende tu enojo?
8Desde el cielo diste a conocer tu veredicto;
la tierra, temerosa, guardó silencio
9cuando tú, oh Dios, te levantaste para juzgar,
para salvar a los pobres de la tierra. Selah
10La furia del hombre se vuelve tu alabanza,

11Haced votos al Señor vuestro Dios, y cumplidlos;
que todos los países vecinos
paguen tributo al Dios temible,
12al que acaba con el valor de los gobernantes,
¡al que es temido por los reyes de la tierra!

4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.76.11 unto him…: Heb. to fear
12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
