Salmo 142
Masquil de David. Cuando estaba en la cueva. Oración.
1A gritos, le pido al Señor ayuda;
a gritos, le pido al Señor compasión.
2Ante él expongo mis quejas;
ante él expreso mis angustias.
3Cuando ya no me queda aliento,
tú me muestras el camino.142:3 tú me muestras el camino. Lit. tú conoces mi encrucijada.
Por la senda que transito,
algunos me han tendido una trampa.
4Mira a mi derecha, y ve:
nadie me tiende la mano.
No tengo dónde refugiarme;
por mí nadie se preocupa.
5A ti, Señor, te pido ayuda;
a ti te digo: «Tú eres mi refugio,
mi porción en la tierra de los vivos».
6Atiende a mi clamor,
porque me siento muy débil;
líbrame de mis perseguidores,
porque son más fuertes que yo.
7Sácame de la prisión,
para que alabe yo tu nombre.
Los justos se reunirán en torno a mí
por la bondad que me has mostrado.
Psalm 142In Hebrew texts 142:1-7 is numbered 142:2-8.
A maskilTitle: Probably a literary or musical term of David. When he was in the cave. A prayer.
1I cry aloud to the Lord;
I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy.
2I pour out before him my complaint;
before him I tell my trouble.
3When my spirit grows faint within me,
it is you who watch over my way.
In the path where I walk
people have hidden a snare for me.
4Look and see, there is no-one at my right hand;
no-one is concerned for me.
I have no refuge;
no-one cares for my life.
5I cry to you, Lord;
I say, ‘You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living.’
6Listen to my cry,
for I am in desperate need;
rescue me from those who pursue me,
for they are too strong for me.
7Set me free from my prison,
that I may praise your name.
Then the righteous will gather about me
because of your goodness to me.
