1Awa ndi mawu amene Yehova Wamphamvuzonse ananena. 2Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Ine ndikuchitira nsanje yayikulu Ziyoni. Mtima wanga ukupweteka chifukwa cha nsanje pa iyeyo.”
3Yehova akuti, “Ndidzabwerera ku Ziyoni ndi kukakhala ku Yerusalemu. Pamenepo Yerusalemu adzatchedwa Mzinda wa Choonadi ndipo phiri la Yehova Wamphamvuzonse lidzatchedwa Phiri Lopatulika.”
4Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Abambo ndi amayi okalamba adzakhalanso mʼmisewu ya mu Yerusalemu, aliyense ali ndi ndodo mʼmanja mwake chifukwa cha kuchuluka kwa masiku ake. 5Ndipo misewu ya mu mzindamo idzadzaza ndi anyamata ndi atsikana akusewera.”
6Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Ngati zikuoneka kuti nʼzosatheka kwa anthu otsala pa nthawi ino, kodi zidzakhala zosathekanso kwa Ine?” akutero Yehova Wamphamvuzonse.
7Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Taonani ndidzapulumutsa anthu anga kuchokera ku mayiko a kummawa ndi kumadzulo. 8Ndidzawabweretsa kuti adzakhale mu Yerusalemu; adzakhala anthu anga, ndipo Ine ndidzakhala Mulungu wawo, wokhulupirika ndi wolungama pakati pawo.”
9Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Inu amene tsopano mukumva mawu awa amene akuyankhula aneneri amene analipo pamene ankayika maziko a nyumba ya Yehova Wamphamvuzonse, ‘limbani mtima kuti mumange Nyumba ya Yehova.’ 10Mpaka nthawi imeneyi panalibe munthu wolandira malipiro pa ntchito kapena ndalama zolipirira nyama zogwira ntchito. Panalibe munthu amene ankadzigwirira ntchito mwamtendere chifukwa choopa adani ake, pakuti Ine ndinkawayambanitsa. 11Koma tsopano sindidzachitira otsala mwa anthu awa zomwe ndinachita kale,” akutero Yehova Wamphamvuzonse.
12“Pakuti mbewu zidzamera bwino, mpesa udzabala zipatso zake, nthaka idzatulutsa zomera zake, ndi thambo lidzagwetsa mame. Ndidzapereka zonse kukhala cholowa cha otsala mwa anthu awa. 13Monga mwakhala muli chinthu chotembereredwa pakati pa mitundu ina ya anthu, inu Yuda ndi Israeli, choncho ndidzakupulumutsani, ndipo mudzakhala dalitso. Musachite mantha, koma limbani mtima.”
14Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Monga ndinatsimikiza mtima kubweretsa choyipa pa inu, komanso osakuchitirani chisoni pamene makolo anu anandikwiyitsa,” akutero Yehova, 15“Choncho tsopano ndatsimikiza mtima kuchitiranso zabwino Yerusalemu ndi Yuda. Musachite mantha. 16Zinthu zoti muchite ndi izi: Muziwuzana zoona zokhazokha, muziweruza moona ndi mwachilungamo mʼmabwalo anu; 17musamachitire mnzanu chiwembu, musamakonde kulumbira zonama. Zonsezi Ine ndimadana nazo,” akutero Yehova.
18Yehova Wamphamvuzonse anayankhulanso nane. 19Ndipo ananena kuti, “Kusala zakudya kwa pa mwezi wachinayi, chisanu, chisanu ndi chiwiri ndi wakhumi, kudzakhala nthawi yachimwemwe, ya chisangalalo ndi nthawi ya madyerero chikondwerero kwa Yuda. Nʼchifukwa chake muzikonda choonadi ndi mtendere.”
20Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Anthu a mitundu yambiri ndi anthu okhala mʼmizinda yambiri adzabwerabe, 21ndipo nzika za mzinda wina zidzapita ku mzinda wina, kukanena kuti, ‘Tiyeni mwamsanga tikapemphe madalitso kwa Yehova ndi kukapembedza Yehova Wamphamvuzonse. Inenso ndikupita kumeneko.’ 22Anthu ambiri ndiponso a ku mayiko amphamvu adzabwera ku Yerusalemu kudzapembedza Yehova Wamphamvuzonse ndi kudzapempha madalitso.”
23Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, “Masiku amenewo anthu khumi ochokera ku mitundu ya anthu a ziyankhulo zosiyana adzagwira mkanjo wa Myuda ndi kunena kuti, ‘Tipite nawo, chifukwa tamva kuti Mulungu ali nanu.’ ”
1Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 2Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. 3Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. 4Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.8.4 very…: Heb. multitude of days 5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. 6Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.8.6 marvellous: or, hard, or, difficult 7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;8.7 the west…: Heb. the country of the going down of the sun 8And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9¶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 10For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.8.10 there was…: or, the hire of man became nothing 11But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. 12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.8.12 prosperous: Heb. of peace 13And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 14For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 15So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16¶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:8.16 execute…: Heb. judge truth, and the judgment of peace 17And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
18¶ And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, 19Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.8.19 feasts: or, solemn, or, set times 20Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: 21And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.8.21 speedily: or, continually: Heb. going8.21 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 22Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.8.22 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 23Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
