耶穌死裡復活
1週日黎明時分，幾位婦女帶著預備好的香料來到墳前， 2發現墓口的大石頭已經滾到旁邊， 3便進去，卻沒有看見主耶穌的遺體。 4正在猜疑之間，突然有兩個衣服發光的人站在旁邊， 5她們嚇得俯伏在地。那兩個人對她們說：「你們為什麼在死人中找活人呢？ 6祂不在這裡，已經復活了！記住祂在加利利對你們說的話， 7『人子必須被交在罪人的手中，被釘在十字架上，在第三天復活。』」
8她們想起耶穌的話來， 9便離開墓地回去把事情的經過告訴十一個使徒和其他人。 10這些婦女就是抹大拉的瑪麗亞、約亞娜、雅各的母親瑪麗亞及其他人。
11大家聽了都不相信，認為是無稽之談。 12彼得卻起身跑到墓地，屈身往墓裡張望，只見細麻布在那裡，他便離開了，對發生的事大惑不解。
耶穌的顯現
13同一天，有兩個門徒前往離耶路撒冷十一公里的以馬忤斯村， 14一路談論著最近發生的一切事。 15正談論的時候，耶穌走過來和他們同行。 16可是，他們認不出耶穌。
17耶穌問他們：「你們一路上在談論什麼？」
他們停下腳步，滿面愁容， 18其中一個叫革流巴的說：「難道在耶路撒冷作客的人中，只有你不知道近日發生的大事嗎？」
19耶穌問：「什麼事？」
他們說：「就是拿撒勒人耶穌的事。祂本來是個先知，在上帝和百姓面前言談舉止充滿力量。 20我們的祭司長和官長卻把祂押去判了死刑，釘在十字架上。
21「我們一直希望祂就是要拯救以色列的那位。還有，今天是事發後的第三天， 22我們當中有幾位婦女一早到耶穌的墳墓， 23發現耶穌的遺體不見了，回來說天使曾向她們顯現並告訴她們耶穌已經復活了。
24「後來我們有幾個人親自去墳墓察看，果然像她們所說的，耶穌的遺體不見了。」
25耶穌對他們說：「無知的人啊！為什麼遲遲不肯相信先知的話呢？ 26基督豈不是要先這樣受害，然後進入祂的榮耀嗎？」
27耶穌接著從摩西和眾先知的記載開始，把有關自己的經文都向他們講解明白。
28快到以馬忤斯村時，耶穌好像還要繼續前行。 29他們極力挽留祂，說：「天快黑了，時候不早了，跟我們一同住宿吧。」耶穌就和他們一起進村住下。
30吃飯的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝後，掰開遞給他們。 31忽然他們眼睛明亮了，認出是耶穌。耶穌很快從他們眼前消失了。
32二人彼此議論說：「一路上祂和我們說話、為我們解釋聖經的時候，我們心裡不是很火熱嗎？」 33二人馬上趕回耶路撒冷，看到十一位使徒及其同伴正聚在一起談論： 34「主真的復活了，祂向西門顯現了。」
35二人也把路上發生的事以及掰餅時認出主的經過述說了一遍。
36正說的時候，耶穌出現在他們中間，說：「願你們平安！」 37他們又驚又怕，以為是看見了鬼魂。
38耶穌說：「你們為什麼憂心忡忡？為什麼心存疑惑呢？ 39你們看我的手和腳，就知道真的是我。來摸摸看，鬼魂沒有骨和肉，你們看！我有。」 40說完，便伸出手和腳給他們看。
41門徒又驚又喜，半信半疑。耶穌問：「你們這裡有吃的嗎？」 42他們便給祂一片烤魚， 43祂接過魚來在他們面前吃了。
44耶穌對他們說：「我跟你們在一起的時候曾經說過，摩西的律法書、先知的書以及詩篇裡有關我的記載都要應驗。」 45於是，耶穌開啟了他們的心竅，使他們明白這些經文， 46又對他們說：「聖經上說，基督必受害，然後在第三天從死裡復活， 47人們要奉祂的名傳揚悔改、赦罪的福音，從耶路撒冷一直傳遍萬國。
48「你們是這些事的見證人， 49我要把我父所應許的賜給你們。不過，你們要留在城裡，直到你們得到天上來的能力。」
耶穌升天
50耶穌帶著門徒來到伯大尼附近，舉起雙手為他們祝福。 51正祝福的時候，祂就離開了他們，被接到天上去了。 52門徒都敬拜祂，然後歡歡喜喜地回到耶路撒冷。 53他們常在聖殿裡讚美上帝。
Jesus Rises From the Dead
1It was very early in the morning on the first day of the week. The women took the spices they had prepared. Then they went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from it. 3When they entered the tomb, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4They were wondering about this. Suddenly two men in clothes as bright as lightning stood beside them. 5The women were terrified. They bowed down with their faces to the ground. Then the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6Jesus is not here! He has risen! Remember how he told you he would rise. It was while he was still with you in Galilee. 7He said, ‘The Son of Man must be handed over to sinful people. He must be nailed to a cross. On the third day he will rise from the dead.’ ” 8Then the women remembered Jesus’ words.
9They came back from the tomb. They told all these things to the 11 apostles and to all the others. 10Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them were the ones who told the apostles. 11But the apostles did not believe the women. Their words didn’t make any sense to them. 12But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent over and saw the strips of linen lying by themselves. Then he went away, wondering what had happened.
On the Road to Emmaus
13That same day two of Jesus’ followers were going to a village called Emmaus. It was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15As they talked about those things, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them. 16But God kept them from recognizing him.
17Jesus asked them, “What are you talking about as you walk along?”
They stood still, and their faces were sad. 18One of them was named Cleopas. He said to Jesus, “Are you the only person visiting Jerusalem who doesn’t know? Don’t you know about the things that have happened there in the last few days?”
19“What things?” Jesus asked.
“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet. He was powerful in what he said and did in the sight of God and all the people. 20The chief priests and our rulers handed Jesus over to be sentenced to death. They nailed him to a cross. 21But we had hoped that he was the one who was going to set Israel free. Also, it is the third day since all this happened. 22Some of our women amazed us too. Early this morning they went to the tomb. 23But they didn’t find his body. So they came and told us what they had seen. They saw angels, who said Jesus was alive. 24Then some of our friends went to the tomb. They saw it was empty, just as the women had said. They didn’t see Jesus’ body there.”
25Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are! How long it takes you to believe all that the prophets said! 26Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer these things and then receive his glory?” 27Jesus explained to them what was said about himself in all the Scriptures. He began with Moses and all the Prophets.
28They approached the village where they were going. Jesus kept walking as if he were going farther. 29But they tried hard to keep him from leaving. They said, “Stay with us. It is nearly evening. The day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
30He joined them at the table. Then he took bread and gave thanks. He broke it and began to give it to them. 31Their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. But then he disappeared from their sight. 32They said to each other, “He explained to us what the Scriptures meant. Weren’t we excited as he talked with us on the road?”
33They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the 11 disciples and those with them. They were all gathered together. 34They were saying, “It’s true! The Lord has risen! He has appeared to Simon!” 35Then the two of them told what had happened to them on the way. They told how they had recognized Jesus when he broke the bread.
Jesus Appears to the Disciples
36The disciples were still talking about this when Jesus himself suddenly stood among them. He said, “May you have peace!”
37They were surprised and terrified. They thought they were seeing a ghost. 38Jesus said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do you have doubts in your minds? 39Look at my hands and my feet. It’s really me! Touch me and see. A ghost does not have a body or bones. But you can see that I do.”
40After he said that, he showed them his hands and feet. 41But they still did not believe it. They were amazed and filled with joy. So Jesus asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of cooked fish. 43He took it and ate it in front of them.
44Jesus said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms must come true.”
45Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46He told them, “This is what is written. The Messiah will suffer. He will rise from the dead on the third day. 47His followers will preach in his name. They will tell others to turn away from their sins and be forgiven. People from every nation will hear it, beginning at Jerusalem. 48You have seen these things with your own eyes. 49I am going to send you what my Father has promised. But for now, stay in the city. Stay there until you have received power from heaven.”
Jesus Is Taken Up Into Heaven
50Jesus led his disciples out to the area near Bethany. Then he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51While he was blessing them, he left them. He was taken up into heaven. 52Then they worshiped him. With great joy, they returned to Jerusalem. 53Every day they went to the temple, praising God.
