1「之後，我們前往巴珊，巴珊王噩率全軍在以得來迎戰我們。 2耶和華對我說，『不要怕他，因為我已把他及其眾民和土地交在你手中，你要像從前對付希實本的亞摩利王西宏一樣對付他。』
3「我們的上帝耶和華把巴珊王噩及其眾民交在我們手中，我們殺了他們，一個不留。 4我們佔領了亞珥歌伯全境，即巴珊王噩的所有城邑，共六十座。 5這些城邑圍牆高聳，門閂牢固。我們還佔領了許多沒有城牆的鄉村。 6像對付希實本王西宏一樣，我們將這些城邑夷為平地，城中的男女老幼一個不留， 7只留下牲畜和財物作戰利品。 8於是，我們攻佔了約旦河東兩個亞摩利王的土地，從亞嫩谷一直到黑門山—— 9西頓人稱黑門山為西連，亞摩利人稱之為示尼珥—— 10攻佔了高原的城邑、整個基列和巴珊，遠至巴珊王噩的城邑撒迦和以得來。 11巴珊王噩是最後一個利乏音人。他的床是鐵做的，存放在亞捫人的拉巴城，長四米，寬一點八米。
分配約旦河東之地
12「我們佔領了這片土地後，我把亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥以北地區和基列山區的一半及其城邑，分給呂便支派和迦得支派， 13把基列山區的另一半，以及噩的王國巴珊全境——整個亞珥歌伯分給瑪拿西半個支派。巴珊地區又被稱為利乏音人之地。 14瑪拿西的子孫雅珥得到亞珥歌伯全境，遠至基述人和瑪迦人的邊界。他按自己的名字給那地方取名叫哈倭特·雅珥，沿用至今。 15我又把基列分給瑪吉， 16把從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷中央為界，遠至亞捫人的邊界雅博河地區分給呂便支派和迦得支派。 17我還把亞拉巴，就是以約旦河為界，從基尼烈直到東面毗斯迦山腳的亞拉巴海，即鹽海地區給了他們。
18「那時我吩咐他們，『你們的上帝耶和華已經把這些地方賜給你們，但你們所有的戰士必須帶著兵器過河，做同胞的先鋒。 19我知道你們有許多牲畜，你們的妻子、兒女和牲畜可以留在我分給你們的城邑。 20等你們的上帝耶和華使其他以色列人和你們一樣有了安身之所，佔領了耶和華賜給他們的約旦河西之地後，你們才可以返回我分給你們的家園。』 21那時我吩咐約書亞，『你們的上帝耶和華怎樣對付那兩個王，你都親眼看見了。耶和華必以同樣的方式對付你將去攻佔的各國。 22不要怕他們，因為你的上帝耶和華將為你爭戰。』
摩西不得進入迦南
23「那時，我懇求耶和華，說， 24『主耶和華啊，你已向僕人彰顯你的偉大和權能，天上地下沒有神明可與你相比！ 25求你讓我過去看看約旦河那邊的佳美之地——那美好的山區和黎巴嫩。』 26但因你們的緣故，耶和華向我發怒，不聽我的懇求，祂對我說，『夠了，不要再跟我提這件事。 27你可以上毗斯迦山頂，向東南西北眺望，但你不可過約旦河。 28你要委任約書亞，勉勵他，支持他，因為他必帶領以色列人過河，佔領你眺望的那片土地。』 29當時，我們駐紮在伯·毗珥對面的谷中。
1Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei. 2And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 3So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining. 4And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan. 5All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many. 6And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city. 7But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves. 8And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; 9(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;) 10All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan. 11For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
12And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites. 13And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. 14Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day. 15And I gave Gilead unto Machir. 16And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; 17The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdoth-pisgah eastward.3.17 Ashdoth-pisgah: or, the springs of Pisgah, or, the hill
18¶ And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.3.18 meet…: Heb. sons of power 19But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you; 20Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
21¶ And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest. 22Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. 23And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, 24O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? 25I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. 26But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter. 27Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.3.27 Pisgah: or, the hill 28But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see. 29So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.
