耶稣的祷告
1耶稣说完后，就抬头望着天说：“父啊！时候到了，愿你使你的儿子得荣耀，好让你的儿子也使你得荣耀。 2因为你把管理世人的权柄赐给了祂，使祂可以将永生赐予你交托给祂的人。 3这永生就是，认识你——独一的真神，并且认识你所差来的耶稣基督。 4我已经完成你交给我的工作，使你在地上得了荣耀。 5父啊，现在让我和你同享创世以前我们所共有的荣耀吧！
6“你从世上赐给我的人，我已将你17:6 “你”希腊文是“你的名”，“名”代表一个人的全部。显明给他们。他们本来属于你，你将他们赐给了我，他们遵守你的道。 7如今他们知道，你赐给我的一切都是从你那里来的， 8因为我已经把你赐给我的道赐给他们，他们也接受了，并且确实知道我是从你那里来的，也相信是你差遣了我。
9“我不为世人祈求，却为他们祈求，就是为你赐给我的那些人祈求，因为他们属于你。 10一切属于我的都是你的，属于你的也是我的，我从他们身上得了荣耀。 11现在我要离开这个世界去你那里了，他们却仍然留在世上。圣父啊，求你为了自己的名，就是你赐给我的名而保守他们，使他们像我们一样合而为一。 12我和他们在一起的时候，靠着你赐给我的名保守他们，看顾他们。除了那个注定灭亡的人以外，他们一个也没有灭亡，这是为了应验圣经上的话。
13“现在我要去你那里了，我趁着还在世上的时候这样说，是要叫他们心里充满我的喜乐。 14我已将你的道赐给他们，世人恨他们，因为他们像我一样不属于这个世界。 15我不求你带他们离开这个世界，但求你保守他们脱离那恶者。 16因为他们像我一样不属于这个世界。 17求你用真理，就是你的道，使他们圣洁。 18你怎样差我到世上来，我也照样差他们到世人中间。 19为了他们，我献上自己，使他们借着真理可以圣洁。
20“我不但为这些人祈求，也为那些因他们的话而信我的人祈求， 21使他们都合而为一，正如父你在我里面，我在你里面一样，并且使他们也在我们里面，好让世人相信是你差我来的。 22我又将你赐给我的荣耀赐给他们，使他们像我们一样合而为一。 23我在他们里面，你在我里面，好使他们也完完全全地合而为一。这样，世人便知道我是你差来的，而且知道你爱他们，就像爱我一样。
24“父啊！我在哪里，愿你赐给我的人也在哪里，好让他们看见你赐给我的荣耀，因为在创世以前你已经爱我了。 25公义的父啊！世界还未认识你以前，我已经认识你了，这些人也知道是你差我来的。 26我使他们认识了你的名，我还要使他们更认识你，好让你对我的爱存在他们里面，我也在他们里面。”
Jesus Prays to Be Glorified
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6“I have revealed you17:6 Greek your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of17:11 Or Father, keep them faithful to your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by17:12 Or kept them faithful to that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17Sanctify them by17:17 Or them to live in accordance with the truth; your word is truth. 18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26I have made you17:26 Greek your name known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
