1天使让我看城内街道当中一道流淌着生命水的河，清澈如水晶，从上帝和羔羊的宝座那里流出。 2河两岸有结十二种果子的生命树，每个月都结果子，叶子能医治万民。 3再也没有咒诅，因为城里有上帝和羔羊的宝座，祂的奴仆都要事奉祂。 4他们必见上帝的面，上帝的名字必印在他们的额上。 5再没有黑夜，也不需要灯光和阳光，因为主上帝必做他们的光。他们要执掌王权直到永永远远。
基督的再来
6天使对我说：“这些话真实可靠。赐圣灵感动众先知的主上帝已差遣祂的天使，将那些快要发生的事指示给祂的奴仆们。”
7“看啊，我快要来了。遵行这书中预言的人有福了！”
8以上都是我约翰亲眼看见、亲耳听见的事。当我听见、看见这些事后，就俯伏敬拜将这一切指示给我的天使。 9天使对我说：“千万不可！我与你、你的众先知弟兄和那些遵行这书上话语的人同是上帝的奴仆，你要敬拜上帝。”
10他又对我说：“不可封住这卷书上的预言，因为时候快到了。 11不义的，让他继续不义；污秽的，让他继续污秽；公义的，让他保持公义；圣洁的，让他保持圣洁。”
12“看啊，我快要来了，到时候我要按各人的行为施行赏罚。 13我是阿拉法，我是俄梅加；我是首先的，我是末后的；我是开始，我是终结。 14那些洗净自己衣裳的人有福了！他们有权吃生命树的果子，也可以从城门进入城中。 15那些如同恶犬的败类、行邪术的、淫乱的、杀人的、拜偶像的和一切喜欢弄虚作假的，都要被拒之城外。 16我耶稣差遣我的天使到众教会，向你们证明这些事。我是大卫的根，也是大卫的后裔，又是明亮的晨星。”
17圣灵和新娘都说：“来吧！”听见的也要说：“来吧！”口渴的，让他来吧！愿意的，让他白白享用生命水吧！
警告
18我郑重警告所有听见这书上预言的人：如果谁在这书上增添什么，上帝必将这书上所记载的灾祸加在他身上； 19如果有人从这预言书上删减什么，上帝必使他无份于这书上所记载的生命树和圣城。
20那位证明这些事的说：“是的，我快要来了。”阿们！主耶稣啊，我愿你来！
21愿主耶稣的恩典与众圣徒同在。阿们！
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 10And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
