Ангел со свитком
1Затем я увидел другого могучего ангела, спускающегося с небес. Он был окутан облаком, и над его головой сияла радуга. Его лицо было как солнце, а ноги – как огненные столбы10:1 Ср. Исх. 13:21-22; Езек. 1:26-28; Дон. 10:5-6; Мат. 17:2.. 2Ангел держал в руке маленький развёрнутый свиток. Он поставил правую ногу на море, а левую на сушу. 3Он закричал, и его крик напоминал рёв льва, и от этого крика заговорили семь громов10:3 Ср. Ос. 11:10; Ам. 3:8.. 4Когда проговорили семь громов, я приготовился писать, но голос с небес сказал мне:
– Сохрани в тайне то, что сказали семь громов, не записывай этого10:4 Ср. Дон. 12:4, 9..
5Затем ангел, которого я видел стоящим одновременно на море и на суше, поднял правую руку к небу. 6Он поклялся вечно Живущим10:5-6 См. Втор. 32:40; Дон. 12:7., сотворившим небеса и то, что на них, землю и то, что на ней, и море с тем, что в нём10:6 См. Исх. 20:11; Неем. 9:6; Заб. 145:6..
– Промедления больше не будет! – сказал он. – 7Но в те дни, когда седьмой ангел будет готов протрубить, тогда скрытый план Всевышнего будет полностью осуществлён, как Он и объявил об этом Своим рабам пророкам.
8Потом голос, который я слышал с небес, ещё раз обратился ко мне:
– Пойди и возьми открытый свиток из руки ангела, стоящего на море и на суше.
9Я подошёл к ангелу и попросил его дать мне этот маленький свиток. Ангел сказал мне:
– Возьми его и съешь. От него у тебя будет горько в желудке, но во рту он будет сладким, как мёд.
10Я взял маленький свиток из руки ангела и съел его: во рту он был сладким, как мёд, но в желудке потом была от него горечь10:9-10 Ср. Езек. 2:8–3:3..
11Тогда мне было сказано:
– Тебе предстоит опять пророчествовать о судах над многими народами, племенами, родами и царями.
The Angel and the Little Scroll
1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was wearing a cloud like a robe. There was a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun. His legs were like pillars of fire. 2He was holding a little scroll. It was lying open in his hand. The angel put his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. 3Then he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke. 4When they had spoken, I was getting ready to write. But I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said. Do not write it down.”
5I had seen an angel standing on the sea and on the land. This angel raised his right hand to heaven. 6He made a promise in the name of the God who lives for ever and ever. This is the God who created the sky, earth and sea and all that is in them. The angel said, “There will be no more waiting! 7God’s plan will be carried out. This will happen when the seventh angel is ready to blow his trumpet. God told all this to the prophets who served him long ago.”
8Then the voice I had heard from heaven spoke to me again. It said, “The angel is standing on the sea and on the land. Go and take the scroll from him. It is lying open in his hand.”
9So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will become sour in your stomach. But ‘in your mouth it will taste as sweet as honey.’ ” (Ezekiel 3:3) 10I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. In my mouth it tasted as sweet as honey. But when I had eaten it, it became sour in my stomach. 11Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”
