1Главный священнослужитель Элиашив и его собратья-священнослужители принялись отстраивать Овечьи ворота. Они посвятили эти ворота Всевышнему и вставили в них двери; они освятили их до башни Сотни и от неё до башни Хананила. 2Соседний участок строили жители Иерихона, а рядом с ними строил Заккур, сын Имри.
3Рыбные ворота были отстроены сыновьями Ассенаа. Они положили их балки и вставили в них двери, замки и засовы. 4Меремот, сын Урии, сына Аккоца, восстановил следующий участок стены. Рядом с ним восстанавливал Мешуллам, сын Берехии, сына Мешезавила, а возле него – Цадок, сын Бааны. 5Следующий участок стены был восстановлен жителями селения Текоа, но их знать и пальцем не пошевелила, чтобы участвовать в работе для своего Владыки3:5 Или: «на своих господ»..
6Старые ворота были восстановлены Иоядой, сыном Пасеаха, и Мешулламом, сыном Бесодеи. Они положили их балки и вставили в них двери, замки и засовы. 7Рядом с ними восстанавливали жители Гаваона и Мицпы – гаваонитянин Мелатия и меронотянин Иадон – подвластные наместнику провинции за Евфратом. 8Узиил, сын Харгаи, из ювелиров, восстановил следующий участок стены, а рядом с ним – Ханания, из составителей благовоний. Они восстановили Иерусалим до самой Широкой стены. 9Рефая, сын Хура, правитель половины Иерусалимского округа, восстановил следующий участок. 10Рядом с ними и напротив своего дома восстанавливал Иедая, сын Харумафа, а возле него – Хаттуш, сын Хашавнеи. 11Малхия, сын Харима, и Хашув, сын Пахат-Моава, восстановили следующий участок и Тандырную башню. 12Шаллум, сын Аллохеша, правитель второй половины Иерусалимского округа, с помощью своих дочерей восстановил следующий участок.
13Ворота Долины были восстановлены Хануном и жителями Заноаха. Они отстроили их и вставили в них двери, замки и засовы. Ещё они восстановили четыреста пятьдесят метров3:13 Букв.: «тысячу локтей». стены до Навозных ворот.
14Навозные ворота были восстановлены Малхией, сыном Рехава, правителем округа Бет-Керем. Он отстроил их и вставил в них двери, замки и засовы.
15Ворота Источника были восстановлены Шаллуном, сыном Кол-Хозе, правителем округа Мицпа. Он отстроил их, соорудил над ними крышу и вставил в них двери, замки и засовы. Ещё он восстановил стену у пруда Силоам, у Царского сада, до самых ступеней, что спускаются из Города Довуда3:15 Город Довуда – старая часть города Иерусалима на горе Сион, где находилась крепость и царский дворец (см. 2 Цар. 5:7-9). Также в 12:37.. 16За ним – до места напротив царских гробниц3:16 Букв.: «гробниц Довуда». и далее до выкопанного пруда и дома воинов – восстанавливал Неемия, сын Азбука, правитель половины округа Бет-Цур.
17За ним восстанавливали левиты под руководством Рехума, сына Бани. Рядом с ним Хашавия, правитель половины округа Кейла, восстанавливал стену за свой округ. 18Возле него восстанавливали их земляки под руководством Биннуи, сына Хенадада, правителя второй половины округа Кейла. 19Рядом с которым следующий участок – от места напротив подъёма к оружейному складу до самого угла – восстановил Езер, сын Иешуа, правитель Мицпы. 20Возле него следующий участок – от угла до входа в дом главного священнослужителя Элиашива – ревностно восстановил Барух, сын Заббая. 21Рядом с ним следующий участок – от входа в дом Элиашива до конца дома – восстановил Меремот, сын Урии, сына Аккоца.
22За ним восстанавливали священнослужители из окрестностей. 23За ними, напротив своего дома, восстанавливали Вениамин и Хашув, а за ними, рядом со своим домом, восстанавливал Азария, сын Маасеи, сына Анании. 24Рядом с ним следующий участок – от дома Азарии до угла и поворота – восстановил Биннуи, сын Хенадада, 25а Палал, сын Узая, трудился напротив угла и башни, выступающей из верхнего царского дворца, рядом со двором стражи. Возле него Педая, сын Пароша, 26и храмовые слуги, живущие на холме Офел, восстанавливали до места напротив Водных ворот к востоку и выступающей башни. 27Рядом с ними следующий участок – от большой выступающей башни до стены Офела – восстановили жители Текоа.
28За Конскими воротами восстанавливали священнослужители – каждый напротив своего дома. 29За ними – напротив своего дома – восстанавливал Цадок, сын Иммера, а за ним – Шемая, сын Шехании, сторож Восточных ворот. 30За ним следующий участок восстанавливали Ханания, сын Шелемии, и Ханун, шестой сын Цалафа. Builders of the wall
1Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests went to work and rebuilt the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and set its doors in place, building as far as the Tower of the Hundred, which they dedicated, and as far as the Tower of Hananel. 2The men of Jericho built the adjoining section, and Zakkur son of Imri built next to them.
3The Fish Gate was rebuilt by the sons of Hassenaah. They laid its beams and put its doors and bolts and bars in place. 4Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired the next section. Next to him Meshullam son of Berekiah, the son of Meshezabel, made repairs, and next to him Zadok son of Baana also made repairs. 5The next section was repaired by the men of Tekoa, but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work under their supervisors.3:5 Or their Lord or the governor
6The Jeshanah3:6 Or Old Gate was repaired by Joiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son of Besodeiah. They laid its beams and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place. 7Next to them, repairs were made by men from Gibeon and Mizpah – Melatiah of Gibeon and Jadon of Meronoth – places under the authority of the governor of Trans-Euphrates. 8Uzziel son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired the next section; and Hananiah, one of the perfume-makers, made repairs next to that. They restored Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall. 9Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section. 10Adjoining this, Jedaiah son of Harumaph made repairs opposite his house, and Hattush son of Hashabneiah made repairs next to him. 11Malkijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-Moab repaired another section and the Tower of the Ovens. 12Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section with the help of his daughters.
13The Valley Gate was repaired by Hanun and the residents of Zanoah. They rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place. They also repaired a thousand cubits3:13 That is, about 450 metres of the wall as far as the Dung Gate.
14The Dung Gate was repaired by Malkijah son of Rekab, ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem. He rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place.
15The Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallun son of Kol-Hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah. He rebuilt it, roofing it over and putting its doors and bolts and bars in place. He also repaired the wall of the Pool of Siloam,3:15 Hebrew Shelah, a variant of Shiloah, that is, Siloam by the King’s Garden, as far as the steps going down from the City of David. 16Beyond him, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of a half-district of Beth Zur, made repairs up to a point opposite the tombs3:16 Hebrew; Septuagint, some Vulgate manuscripts and Syriac tomb of David, as far as the artificial pool and the House of the Heroes.
17Next to him, the repairs were made by the Levites under Rehum son of Bani. Beside him, Hashabiah, ruler of half the district of Keilah, carried out repairs for his district. 18Next to him, the repairs were made by their fellow Levites under Binnui3:18 Two Hebrew manuscripts and Syriac (see also Septuagint and verse 24); most Hebrew manuscripts Bavvai son of Henadad, ruler of the other half-district of Keilah. 19Next to him, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, repaired another section, from a point facing the ascent to the armoury as far as the angle of the wall. 20Next to him, Baruch son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section, from the angle to the entrance of the house of Eliashib the high priest. 21Next to him, Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired another section, from the entrance of Eliashib’s house to the end of it.
22The repairs next to him were made by the priests from the surrounding region. 23Beyond them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs in front of their house; and next to them, Azariah son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah, made repairs beside his house. 24Next to him, Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from Azariah’s house to the angle and the corner, 25and Palal son of Uzai worked opposite the angle and the tower projecting from the upper palace near the court of the guard. Next to him, Pedaiah son of Parosh 26and the temple servants living on the hill of Ophel made repairs up to a point opposite the Water Gate towards the east and the projecting tower. 27Next to them, the men of Tekoa repaired another section, from the great projecting tower to the wall of Ophel.
28Above the Horse Gate, the priests made repairs, each in front of his own house. 29Next to them, Zadok son of Immer made repairs opposite his house. Next to him, Shemaiah son of Shekaniah, the guard at the East Gate, made repairs. 30Next to him, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another section. Next to them, Meshullam son of Berekiah made repairs opposite his living quarters. 31Next to him, Malkijah, one of the goldsmiths, made repairs as far as the house of the temple servants and the merchants, opposite the Inspection Gate, and as far as the room above the corner; 32and between the room above the corner and the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and merchants made repairs.
