Песнь 90
1Живущий под кровом Высочайшего
в тени Всемогущего покоится,
2говорит о Вечном: «Он – моё прибежище и крепость моя,
Бог мой, на Которого уповаю».
3Он избавит тебя от сети ловца
и от гибельной язвы.
4Он укроет тебя Своими перьями,
и под Его крыльями ты будешь в безопасности;
Его истина будет тебе щитом и бронёй.
5Не убоишься ни ужасов в ночи,
ни стрелы, летящей днём,
6ни язвы, ходящей во мраке,
ни заразы, опустошающей в полдень.
7Тысяча падёт около тебя,
и десять тысяч – справа от тебя,
но к тебе не приблизится.
8Ты сам на это посмотришь
и увидишь возмездие нечестивым.
9Потому что ты избрал Вечного своим прибежищем,
Высочайшего – своей обителью,
10не пристанет к тебе зло,
и язва не приблизится к твоему жилищу.
11Ведь Он Своим ангелам повелит о тебе –
охранять тебя на всех путях твоих.
12Они понесут тебя на руках,
чтобы ноги твои не ударились о камень.
13На льва и на змею наступишь,
растопчешь молодого льва и дракона.
14Вечный говорит:
«Сохраню его, потому что он искренно любит Меня;
защищу его, потому что он знает имя Моё.
15Когда воззовёт ко Мне, Я отвечу:
в беде буду с ним,
избавлю его и прославлю.
16Насыщу его долголетием
и дам ему Моё спасение».

2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
3Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

13Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
14O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
16Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
17And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
