Misaad ang Ginoo nga Panalanginan Niya ang Jerusalem
1-2Miingon pag-usab ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom ngadto kang Zacarias, “Nabalaka ako pag-ayo sa Zion. Ug tungod sa akong dakong kabalaka kaniya, nasuko ako pag-ayo sa iyang mga kaaway. 3Mobalik ako sa Jerusalem8:3 Jerusalem: Sa Hebreo makita usab ang pulong nga Zion, nga mao ang laing ngalan sa Jerusalem. ug mopuyo didto. Unya pagatawgon ang Jerusalem nga Matinumanon nga Siyudad ug pagatawgon ang akong bukid8:3 bukid: Ang Bukid sa Zion diin nagatindog ang templo. nga Balaang Bukid. 4Mobalik nag panglingkod sa mga plasa sa Jerusalem ang mga tigulang nga nagasungkod na tungod sa hilabihan nga katigulangon. 5Ug mapuno ang mga plasa sa mga kabataan nga nagadula.”8:5 Ang buot ipasabot niini nga mga bersikulo, hatagan sa Dios ang iyang mga katawhan sa taas nga kinabuhi ug daghang mga kabataan.
6Miingon pa ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Tingali daw imposible kini alang sa akong katawhan nga nahibilin, apan dili kini imposible kanako. 7Luwason ko ang akong katawhan nga gibihag didto sa mga yuta sa sidlakan ug sa kasadpan. 8Dad-on ko sila pagbalik sa Jerusalem ug papuy-on didto. Mahimo na usab silang akong katawhan ug ako mahimong ilang Dios nga matinumanon ug matarong.”
9Miingon pa gayod ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Kining mensahe gisulti sa mga propeta kaniadto sa panahon nga gitukod pag-usab ang pundasyon sa akong templo. Ug karon nga nadungog ninyo kini pag-usab, lig-ona ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon aron mahuman ninyo ang pagtukod sa templo. 10Sa dihang wala pa masugdi ang pagtukod ug balik sa templo, lisod ang inyong kahimtang. Walay suhol alang sa mga tawo nga nagtrabaho ug sa mga mananap nga gigamit sa pagtrabaho; ug makuyaw ang paglakaw-lakaw bisan asa tungod kay gihimo kong magkaaway ang mga tawo. 11Apan karon, ako, ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, nagaingon nga dili ko na kini himuon kaninyong mga nahibilin. 12Magtanom kamo nga may kalinaw.8:12 Magtanom… kalinaw: o, Motubo ug maayo ang mga binhi. Mamunga ang mga ubas, mohatag ug daghang abot ang yuta, ug may yamog na. Ihatag ko kining tanan kaninyong mga nahibilin. 13Mga katawhan sa Juda ug Israel, gipanghimaraot kamo sa ubang mga nasod. Apan luwason ko kamo ug mahimo kamong panalangin ngadto kanila. Busa ayaw kamo kahadlok. Pagmalig-on hinuon kamo.”
14Miingon pa ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, “Sa dihang gipalagot ako sa inyong mga katigulangan, nakahukom ako nga silotan kamo ug dili kamo kaloy-an. 15Apan karon nakahukom ako nga ipadayon ko ang paghimo ug maayo sa Jerusalem ug Juda. Busa ayaw kamo kahadlok. 16Mao kini ang angay ninyong himuon: Isulti ninyo ang tinuod ngadto sa usag-usa. Paghukom kamo nga matarong diha sa inyong mga hukmanan alang sa kaayohan sa tanan. 17Ayaw kamo paglaraw ug daotan batok sa inyong isigka-tawo ug ayaw panumpa ug bakak, kay gikayugtan ko kining tanang mga buhat.”
18-19Miingon pag-usab ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom kang Zacarias, “Ang pagpuasa sa ika-upat, ika-lima, ika-pito, ug ika-napulo nga mga bulan mahimong masadya nga okasyon alang sa mga katawhan sa Juda. Busa higugmaa ninyo ang kamatuoran ug ang kalinaw.8:18-19 kalinaw: o, maayong relasyon sa usag usa. 20Daghang katawhan gikan sa nagkalain-laing siyudad ang mangadto sa Jerusalem. 21Ang mga lumulupyo sa usa ka siyudad manghanggat sa usa ka siyudad ug moingon, ‘Molakaw kami aron sa pagpangamuyo ug sa pagdangop sa Ginoo nga Makagagahom. Dali, uban kamo!’
22“Daghang katawhan gikan sa gamhanang mga nasod ang moadto sa Jerusalem sa pagpangamuyo ug sa pagdangop kanako. 23Ug nianang panahona, napulo ka tawo nga gikan sa ubang mga nasod ug nagkalain-laing pinulongan ang moadto sa usa ka Judio ug moingon, ‘Gusto gayod kaming mouban kaninyo, tungod kay nadunggan namo nga ang Dios nagauban kaninyo.’ ”
1Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 2Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. 3Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. 4Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.8.4 very…: Heb. multitude of days 5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. 6Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.8.6 marvellous: or, hard, or, difficult 7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;8.7 the west…: Heb. the country of the going down of the sun 8And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9¶ Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 10For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.8.10 there was…: or, the hire of man became nothing 11But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. 12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.8.12 prosperous: Heb. of peace 13And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 14For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 15So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16¶ These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:8.16 execute…: Heb. judge truth, and the judgment of peace 17And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
18¶ And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying, 19Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.8.19 feasts: or, solemn, or, set times 20Thus saith the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: 21And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.8.21 speedily: or, continually: Heb. going8.21 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 22Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.8.22 to pray…: Heb. to intreat the face of 23Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
