Salmo 106
Ang Kaayo sa Dios sa Iyang Katawhan
1Dayega ang Ginoo!
Pasalamati siya kay maayo siya;
ang iyang gugma walay kataposan.
2Walay makahatag ug hingpit nga pagsaysay o makapadayag sa hingpit nga pagdayeg alang sa gamhanang mga buhat sa Ginoo.
3Bulahan ang tawo nga nagahimo sa husto ug matarong sa tanang panahon.
4Ginoo, hinumdomi ako kon tabangan mo na ang imong katawhan;
luwasa usab ako kon luwason mo sila,
5aron matagamtaman ko usab ang kauswagan sa imong pinili nga nasod
ug aron makaambit sa ilang kalipay,
ug makauban sa ilang pagdayeg kanimo.
6Nakasala kami sama sa among mga katigulangan;
daotan kaayo ang among gihimo.
7Sa dihang didto sa Ehipto ang among mga katigulangan, wala nila tagda ang imong katingalahang mga buhat.
Gikalimtan nila ang daghang mga higayon diin gipakita mo ang imong gugma kanila,
ug misupak sila kanimo didto sa Pulang Dagat.
8Apan giluwas mo sila tungod ug alang sa imong kadungganan,
ug aron ikapadayag ang imong gahom.
9Gimandoan sa Ginoo ang Pulang Dagat nga momala, ug namala kini;
ug gipatabok niya ang iyang katawhan sa dagat nga daw sa disyerto kini nga ilang ginaagian.
10Giluwas niya sila gikan sa kamot sa mga kaaway.
11Gitabonan sa tubig ang ilang mga kaaway
ug wala gayoy nakalingkawas.
12Busa mituo sila sa iyang mga saad
ug nagaawit silag pagdayeg kaniya.
13Apan gikalimtan lang dayon nila ang iyang gihimo,
ug wala sila mohulat sa iyang tambag.
14Didto sa kamingawan, gisulayan nila ang Dios tungod sa hilabihan nilang pagpangandoy sa pagkaon.
15Busa gihatag niya kanila ang ilang gipangayo,
apan gipadad-an usab niya sila ug sakit nga nakapaluya kanila.
16Didto sa ilang kampo sa kamingawan, nasina sila kang Moises ug kang Aaron. Si Aaron, gilain aron moalagad sa Ginoo.
17Busa naabli ang yuta ug gilamoy sila si Datan ug Abiram ug ang ilang mga pamilya.
18Ug may kalayo usab nga misunog sa ilang daotang mga sumusunod.
19Didto sa Horeb, naghimo ang mga Israelinhon ug bulawan nga baka
ug gisimba nila kini nga dios-dios.
20Gibaylo nila ang ilang halangdon nga Dios sa estatuwa sa usa ka torong baka nga sagbot ang kinaon.
21-22Gikalimtan nila ang Dios nga nagluwas kanila ug naghimo sa gamhanan ug katingalahang mga butang didto sa Ehipto, ang yuta sa mga kaliwat ni Ham, ug didto sa Pulang Dagat.
23Laglagon na unta sa Dios ang iyang katawhan kon wala pa magpataliwala si Moises nga iyang alagad,
ug mihangyo nga isalikway ang iyang kasuko ug dili ipadayon ang paglaglag kanila.
24Nagdumili pa gayod sila sa pagsulod sa maayong yuta
kay wala sila motuo sa saad sa Dios.
25Nagbagulbol sila diha sa ilang mga tolda ug wala sila motuman sa Ginoo.
26Busa nanumpa ang Ginoo nga pamatyon niya sila sa kamingawan,
27ug katagon niya ang ilang mga kaliwat sa ubang mga nasod diin sila mangamatay.
28Nakighiusa sila sa pagsimba kang Baal sa Peor
ug mikaon sila sa mga halad alang sa mga patay.106:28 mga patay: o, patay nga mga dios-dios.
29Gipalagot niya ang Ginoo tungod sa ilang daotang mga binuhatan,
busa miabot kanila ang katalagman.
30Apan nagpataliwala si Finehas,
busa mihunong ang katalagman.
31Ang gihimo ni Finehas giisip nga matarong,
ug hinumdoman kini sa mga tawo hangtod sa kahangtoran.
32Didto usab sa tuboran sa Meriba, gipalagot sa mga Israelinhon ang Ginoo,
ug nakapahasol kini pag-ayo kang Moises.
33Tungod sa ilang gihimo nasuko si Moises kanila,
ug nakasulti ug mga pulong nga dili niya angay isulti.
34Wala pamatya sa mga Israelinhon ang mga katawhan sa Canaan nga mao untay gisugo sa Ginoo kanila.
35Nakig-uban pa hinuon sila niining mga tawhana ug misunod sa ilang mga binuhatan.
36Misimba sila sa mga dios-dios niining mga tawhana
ug nahimo kining hinungdan sa ilang kalaglagan.
37Gihalad nila ang ilang mga kabataan sa mga demonyo.
38Giula nila ang dugo sa ilang inosenteng mga kabataan ingon nga halad ngadto sa dios-dios sa Canaan.
Niining paagiha, gihugawan nila ang yuta sa Canaan.
39Apil sila nahimong mahugaw tungod sa ilang gihimo.
Nagluib sila sa Dios sama sa usa ka babaye nga nanapaw.
40Busa nasuko ang Ginoo sa iyang katawhan nga iyang gipanag-iyahan,
ug gikasilagan niya sila.
41Gitugyan niya sila sa ilang kaaway nga mga nasod, nga maoy migahom kanila.
42Gidaog-daog sila ug giulipon sa ilang mga kaaway.
43Sa makadaghang higayon giluwas sila sa Dios,
apan nagpadayon sila sa pagsupak kaniya,
ug misamot sila paglunang sa ilang mga sala.
44Apan namati gihapon kanila ang Dios,
ug gitabangan gihapon niya sila sa ilang mga kalisod sa dihang nadungog niya ang ilang pagpakitabang.
45Gihinumdoman sa Dios ang iyang kasabotan kanila,
ug tungod sa iyang dakong gugma kanila nausab ang iyang plano ug wala na niya sila siloti.
46Ug pagbuot niya nga kaloy-an sila sa mga mibihag kanila.
47Luwasa kami, Ginoo nga among Dios!
Kuhaa kami gikan sa ubang kanasoran ug tigoma kami pag-usab sa among yuta,
aron makapasalamat kami ug makadayeg sa imong pagkabalaan.106:47 pagkabalaan: sa literal, balaang ngalan.
48Dalaygon ang Ginoo, ang Dios sa Israel, sa walay kataposan.
Ang tanan nga katawhan motubag ug, “Amen!”

Psalm 106
1Praise the Lord.
Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good.
His faithful love continues forever.
2Who can speak enough about the mighty acts of the Lord?
Who can praise him as much as he should be praised?
3Blessed are those who always do what is fair.
Blessed are those who keep doing what is right.
4Lord, remember me when you bless your people.
Help me when you save them.
5Then I will enjoy the good things you give your chosen ones.
I will be joyful together with your people.
I will join them when they praise you.
6We have sinned, just as our people of long ago did.
We too have done what is evil and wrong.
7When our people were in Egypt,
they forgot about the Lord’s miracles.
They didn’t remember his many kind acts.
At the Red Sea they refused to obey him.
8But he saved them for the honor of his name.
He did it to make his mighty power known.
9He ordered the Red Sea to dry up, and it did.
He led his people through it as if it were a desert.
10He saved them from the power of their enemies.
He set them free from their control.
11The waters covered their enemies.
Not one of them escaped alive.
12Then his people believed his promises
and sang praise to him.
13But they soon forgot what he had done.
They didn’t wait for what he had planned to happen.
14In the desert they longed for food.
In that dry and empty land they tested God.
15So he gave them what they asked for.
But he also sent a sickness that killed many of them.
16In their camp some of them became jealous of Moses and Aaron.
Aaron had been set apart to serve the Lord.
17The ground opened up and swallowed Dathan.
It buried Abiram and his followers.
18Fire blazed among all of them.
Flames destroyed those evil people.
19At Mount Horeb they made a metal statue of a bull calf.
They worshiped that statue of a god.
20They traded their glorious God
for a statue of a bull that eats grass.
21They forgot the God who saved them.
They forgot the God who had done great things in Egypt.
22They forgot the miracles he did in the land of Ham.
They forgot the wonderful things he did by the Red Sea.
23So he said he would destroy them.
But Moses, his chosen one,
stood up for them.
He kept God’s anger from destroying them.
24Later on, they refused to enter the pleasant land of Canaan.
They didn’t believe God’s promise.
25In their tents they told the Lord how unhappy they were.
They didn’t obey him.
26So he lifted up his hand and promised
that he would make them die in the desert.
27He promised he would scatter their children’s children among the nations.
He would make them die in other lands.
28They joined in worshiping the Baal that was worshiped at Peor.
They ate food that had been offered to gods that aren’t even alive.
29Their evil ways made the Lord angry.
So a plague broke out among them.
30But Phinehas stood up and took action.
Then the plague stopped.
31What Phinehas did made him right with the Lord.
It will be remembered for all time to come.
32By the waters of Meribah the Lord’s people made him angry.
Moses got in trouble because of them.
33They refused to obey the Spirit of God.
So Moses spoke without thinking.
34They didn’t destroy the nations in Canaan
as the Lord had commanded them.
35Instead, they mixed with those nations
and adopted their ways.
36They worshiped statues of their gods.
That became a trap for them.
37They sacrificed their sons and daughters
as offerings to false gods.
38They killed those who weren’t guilty of doing anything wrong.
They killed their own sons and daughters.
They sacrificed them as offerings to statues of the gods of Canaan.
The land became “unclean” because of the blood of their children.
39The people made themselves impure by what they had done.
They weren’t faithful to the Lord.
40So the Lord became angry with his people.
He turned away from his own children.
41He handed them over to the nations.
Their enemies ruled over them.
42Their enemies treated them badly
and kept them under their power.
43Many times the Lord saved them.
But they refused to obey him.
So he destroyed them because of their sins.
44Yet he heard them when they cried out.
He paid special attention to their suffering.
45Because they were his people, he remembered his covenant.
Because of his great love, he felt sorry for them.
46He made all those who held them as prisoners
have mercy on them.
47Lord our God, save us.
Bring us back from among the nations.
Then we will give thanks to you, because your name is holy.
We will celebrate by praising you.
48Give praise to the Lord, the God of Israel,
for ever and ever.
Let all the people say, “Amen!”
Praise the Lord.
