17“Talagsa ray mga tawong daotan nga mangamatay. Usahay ra moabot kanila ang kalisod o ang silot nga ginapadala sa Dios tungod sa iyang kasuko. 18Talagsa ra sila abugon nga daw sa dagami o tahop nga gipalid sa makusog nga hangin. 19Nagaingon kamo nga kon dili sila silotan sa Dios, ang ilang mga kabataan mao ang iyang silotan. Apan nagaingon ako nga ang nakasala mao ang angay silotan sa Dios, aron maeksperyensyahan nila 20ug makita mismo nila ang ilang kalaglagan. Pasagdi nga makatilaw sila sa kasuko sa Makagagahom nga Dios. 21Kay kon patay na sila, wala na silay kalibotan sa mangahitabo sa ilang panimalay.
22“Matudloan ba sa tawo ang Dios, nga siya man ang pinakalabaw nga maghukom? 23-24May mga tawo nga nangamatay nga abundansya ug hayahay ang kinabuhi, ug himsog. 25May mga tawo usab nga nangamatay nga pait ug kahimtang, ug wala gayod makatilaw ug kaharuhay sa kinabuhi. 26Apan managsama silang ilubong sa yuta ug kaonon sa mga ulod.
27“Nahibalo ako kon unsay inyong gihunahuna. Nahibalo ako sa inyong plano batok kanako. 28Gisultihan ninyo ako kabahin sa mga tawong adunahan kansang mga pinuy-anan nangahanaw tungod sa ilang kadaotan. 29Apan pangutan-a ang mga nagalabay, ug pamatii ang ilang ginaingon. Kay sultihan nila kamo 30nga ang daotan nga tawo kanunay makalingkawas sa adlaw nga moabot ang katalagman tungod sa kasuko sa Dios. 31Wala gayoy makaako pagbadlong sa tawong daotan. Wala gayoy mobalos sa iyang gihimo. 32Kon ilubong na siya, may magguwardya pa sa iyang lubnganan. 33Daghan ang mohatod kaniya sa paglubong, ug ang yuta maghatag kaniyag kapahulayan.
34“Busa unsaon ninyo ako paglipay sa inyong gipanulti nga walay pulos? Pulos lang mga bakak ang inyong gipanulti.”

7Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power? 8Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes. 9Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.21.9 safe…: Heb. peace from 10Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf. 11They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance. 12They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ. 13They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.21.13 in wealth: or, in mirth 14Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. 15What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him? 16Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.21.17 candle: or, lamp 18They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.21.18 carrieth: Heb. stealeth 19God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.21.19 his iniquity: that is, the punishment of his iniquity 20His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty. 21For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst? 22Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high. 23One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.21.23 his…: Heb. his very, or, the strength of, his perfection 24His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.21.24 breasts: or, milk pails 25And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure. 26They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
