Ang Duha ka Saksi
1Unya gihatagan akog sukdanan nga morag sungkod. Miingon ang naghatag kanako, “Sige, sukda ang templo sa Dios ug ang halaran, ug ihapa kon pila ang nagasimba didto. 2Apan ang gawas sa templo ayaw na lang iapil pagsukod kay alang kana sa mga tawong wala makaila sa Dios. Sila mao ang magaguba sa balaan nga siyudad sa Jerusalem sulod sa 42 ka bulan. 3Ug nianang mga adlawa ipadala ko ang akong duha ka saksi nga magbistig sako.11:3 magbistig sako: Tingali aron ipakita sa mga tawo nga may kalaglagan nga moabot ug panahon na sa paghinulsol. Ug magawali sila sa akong ipawali kanila sulod sa 1,260 ka adlaw.”
4Kining duha ka saksi mao ang duha ka kahoyng olibo11:4 duha ka kahoyng olibo: mao kini sila ang katumanan sa panagna ni Zacarias (Zac. 4:2-14). ug duha ka suga nga nagatindog atubangan sa Ginoo, ang Ginoo sa tibuok kalibotan. 5Kon adunay magtinguha sa pagpasakit kanila, mogawas ang kalayo gikan sa ilang baba ug molamoy sa ilang mga kaaway. Si bisan kinsa nga buot mopasakit kanila kinahanglan gayod nga mamatay. 6Aduna usab silay gahom sa pagpugong sa ulan aron dili moulan samtang magwali sila sa pulong sa Dios. Aduna usab silay gahom nga ang tubig sa mga tuboran mahimo nila nga dugo. Ug dili kay kana lang, may gahom pa gayod sila sa pagdala sa bisan unsang matang sa kadaot sa tibuok kalibotan sa bisan unsang panahon nga gusto nila.
7Kon mahuman na sila pagsangyaw sa pulong sa Dios, bugnoon sila sa bangis nga mananap nga mogawas gikan sa kinahiladman sa yuta. Kining duha ka saksi mapildi ug patyon sa mananap. 8Ang ilang patayng lawas magbuy-od lang sa karsada diha sa inila nga siyudad, diin ang ilang Ginoo gilansang sa krus. Kini nga siyudad nagasimbolo sa Sodoma o Ehipto. 9Sulod sa tulo ka adlaw ug tunga ang ilang patayng lawas sa karsada tan-awon sa mga tawo nga gikan sa nagkalain-lain nga kaliwat, tribo, pinulongan ug nasod. Ug dili sila motugot nga ipalubong kini. 10Malipay gayod ang mga tawo sa kalibotan tungod kay patay na kadtong duha ka saksi. Magsaulog sila ug maghinatagay ug gasa tungod kay patay na ang duha ka propeta sa Dios nga nagdalag daghan nga kasakit sa mga tawo sa kalibotan.
Gibanhaw ang Duha ka Saksi
11Apan paglabay sa tulo ka adlaw ug tunga, ang ilang mga patayng lawas gibuhi sa Dios. Nanindog sila ug nangahadlok ang tanan nga nakakita kanila. 12Ug kining duha ka saksi nakadungog sa kusog nga tingog gikan sa langit nga nagaingon, “Saka kamo dinhi sa langit!” Ug samtang nagtan-aw ang ilang mga kaaway, mikayab sila sa panganod paingon sa langit. 13Sa mao usab nga oras milinog ug kusog. Naguba ang ikanapulo nga bahin sa siyudad, ug 7,000 ka tawo ang nangamatay. Nangalisang ang mga tawo nga wala mangamatay, ug midayeg sila sa Dios sa langit.11:13 Dios sa langit: o, Dios nga anaa sa langit; o, Dios nga naghimo sa langit; o, Dios nga labaw sa tanan.
14Nahuman na ang ikaduha nga makalilisang nga hitabo, apan may mosunod pa nga ikatulo.
Ang Ikapito nga Trumpeta
15Ang ikapito nga anghel mipatingog sa iyang trumpeta, ug may makusog nga mga tingog didto sa langit nga nagaingon, “Karon ang atong Ginoo ug ang iyang pinili nga si Cristo mao na ang maghari sa kalibotan. Ug ang iyang paghari walay kataposan!” 16Ug ang 24 ka mga pangulo nga nagalingkod sa ilang mga trono sa atubangan sa Dios nangluhod dayon ug misimba sa Dios, 17nga nagaingon:
“Ginoong Dios nga makagagahom sa tanan,
ikaw ang Dios kaniadto, ug ikaw usab ang Dios karon.
Nagapasalamat kami kanimo tungod kay gigamit mo na ang imong gahom,
ug nagsugod ka na sa paghari sa kalibotan.
18Hilabihan gayod ang kasuko sa mga tawo nga wala nagaila kanimo.
Kay miabot na ang panahon nga silotan mo sila,
Ug ang mga patay hukman mo na.
Mao na kini ang panahon nga hatagan mo ug ganti ang imong mga sulugoon, ang mga propeta, ang imong katawhan, ug ang tanan nga nagatahod kanimo, inila man o dili.
Panahon na nga pamatyon mo ang mga tawo nga nagaguba sa kalibotan.”
19Unya naabli ang templo sa Dios didto sa langit, ug sa sulod niini nakita ang sudlanan sa Kasabotan sa Dios. Nagpangilat, may mga tingog ug pagdalogdog. Naglinog ug nagaulan ug dagkong tipak sa ice.
The Two Witnesses
1I was given a long stick that looked like a measuring rod. I was told, “Go and measure the temple of God. And measure the altar where the people are worshiping. 2But do not measure the outer courtyard. That’s because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will take over the holy city for 42 months. 3I will appoint my two witnesses. And they will prophesy for 1,260 days. They will be dressed in the rough clothes people wear when they’re sad.” 4The witnesses are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands. And “they stand in front of the Lord of the earth.” (Zechariah 4:3,11,14) 5If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and eats up their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6These witnesses have power to close up the sky. Then it will not rain while they are prophesying. They also have power to turn the waters into blood. And they can strike the earth with every kind of plague. They can do this as often as they want to.
7When they have finished speaking, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them. He will overpower them and kill them. 8Their bodies will lie in the main street of the great city. It is also the city where their Lord was nailed to a cross. The city is sometimes compared to Sodom or Egypt. 9For three and a half days, people will stare at their bodies. These people will be from every tribe and nation, no matter what language they speak. They will refuse to bury them. 10Those who live on the earth will be happy about this. That’s because those two prophets had made them suffer. The people will celebrate by sending one another gifts.
11But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the witnesses. They both stood up. Terror struck those who saw them. 12Then the two witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven. It said to them, “Come up here.” They went up to heaven in a cloud. Their enemies watched it happen.
13At that same time there was a powerful earthquake. A tenth of the city crumbled and fell. In the earthquake, 7,000 people were killed. Those who lived through it were terrified. They gave glory to the God of heaven.
14The second terrible judgment has passed. The third is coming soon.
The Seventh Trumpet
15The seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven. They said,
“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah.
He will rule for ever and ever.”
16The 24 elders were sitting on their thrones in front of God. They fell on their faces and worshiped God. 17They said,
“Lord God who rules over all, we give thanks to you.
You are the God who is and who was.
We give you thanks.
That’s because you have begun to rule with your great power.
18The nations were angry,
and the time for your anger has come.
The time has come to judge the dead.
It is time to reward your servants the prophets
and your people who honor you.
There is a reward for all your people,
both great and small.
It is time to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
19Then God’s temple in heaven was opened. Inside it the wooden chest called the ark of his covenant could be seen. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.
