Ang Mensahe batok sa Gog
1Miingon ang Ginoo kanako, 2“Tawo, pag-atubang kang Gog nga taga-Magog nga pangulo sa Meshech ug sa Tubal ug sultii siya. 3Ingna siya nga ako, ang Ginoo nga Dios, nagaingon: Gog, pangulo sa Meshech ug sa Tubal, kontrahon ko ikaw. 4Tuyokon ko ikaw ug kaw-itag mga taga ang imo nga apapangig, ug guyoron uban sa tanan mo nga mga sundalo. Andamon ko alang sa gubat ang imo nga mga kabayo, mga tigkabayo nga armado, ug ang imo nga daghang mga sundalo nga may dagko ug gagmay nga mga taming ug tanan armado sa espada. 5Mouban kanila ang mga sundalo sa Persia, Ethiopia,38:5 Ethiopia: sa Hebreo, Cush. ug Put, nga may mga taming ug helmet, 6apil usab ang Gomer ug ang Bet Togarmah sa amihan ug ang tanan nilang mga sundalo. Daghang mga nasod ang mouban kanimo.
7“Andama kanunay ang imo nga kaugalingon ug ang tanan mo nga mga sundalo ug pangulohi sila sa pagpakiggubat. 8Sa umaabot nga mga adlaw, mandoan ko kamo sa pagsulong sa Israel, nga nakabangon na gikan sa pagkapukan ug kansang mga nagpuyo nagtigom ngadto sa kabukiran niini nga naawaaw sulod sa dugay nga panahon. Nakabalik na ang mga nagpuyo niini gikan sa mga nasod ug nagapuyo na sila nga malinawon. 9Ikaw ug ang imo nga mga sundalo, ug ang imo nga kauban nga mga nasod, magasulong sa Israel nga daw sa usa ka bagyo, ug libotan ninyo kini nga daw sa panganod nga motabon niini.”
10Nagpadayon sa pag-ingon ang Ginoo nga Dios: “Nianang higayona magplano kag daotan. 11Moingon ka, ‘Sulongon ko ang Israel kansang mga lungsod walay paril, walay pultahan, ug walay trangka, ug ang mga nagpuyo niini nagapuyo nga malinawon ug walay gikahadlokan nga katalagman. 12Ilogon ko ang mga kabtangan niini nga mga lungsod nga kanhi awaaw, apan karon napuno na sa mga tawo nga namalik gikan sa laing mga nasod. Daghan silag mga kahayopan ug mga kabtangan, ug giila ang ilang nasod nga labing importanteng nasod sa kalibotan.’
13“Moingon kanimo ang katawhan sa Sheba ug sa Dedan, ug ang mga negosyante sa mga lungsod sa Tarshish, ‘Gitigom mo na ba ang imo nga kasundalohan aron ilogon ang mga pilak, bulawan, mga mananap, ug mga kabtangan sa mga Israelinhon?’
14“Busa, tawo, ingna si Gog nga ako, ang Ginoo nga Dios, nagaingon: Sa higayon nga magpuyo na nga malinawon ang akong katawhan nga mga Israelinhon, mahibaloan mo kini. 15Busa sulonga sila gikan sa imo nga gipuy-an sa layong dapit sa amihan, uban sa imo nga daghan ug gamhanan nga mga sundalo nga nagkabayo. 16Sulongon mo ang akong katawhan nga mga Israelinhon nga daw sama sa panganod nga motabon sa yuta. Oo, ipasulong ko kanimo, Gog, ang akong nasod sa umaabot nga panahon. Ug pinaagi sa ipahimo ko kanimo, mapakita ko ang akong pagkabalaan ngadto sa mga nasod. Unya mahibaloan nila nga ako mao ang Ginoo.”
17Nagpadayon sa pag-ingon ang Ginoo nga Dios, “Sa unang panahon gipadayag ko pinaagi sa mga propeta sa Israel nga akong mga alagad nga sa umaabot nga mga adlaw may mosulong sa Israel. Ug ikaw ang buot kong ipasabot niadto. 18Apan nianang panahona nga sulongon mo na Gog, ang Israel, mosilaob ang akong kasuko. Ako, ang Ginoo nga Dios, ang nagaingon niini. 19Ug sa labihan ko nga kasuko, gipanumpa ko nga nianang higayona molinog ug kusog sa yuta sa Israel. 20Ang tanang mga tawo ug ang tanang matang sa mananap—ang nagalakaw, ang nagalupad, ang nagakamang, ug ang nagapuyo sa tubig—mangurog sa kahadlok sa akong presensya. Mangatumpag ang mga bukid ug mga bakilid, ug mangatumpag ang mga paril. 21Ipapatay ko ikaw, Gog, didto sa akong mga bukid. Ug ang imo nga mga sundalo magpinatyanay. Ako, ang Ginoo nga Dios, ang nagaingon niini. 22Silotan ko ikaw ug ang imo nga mga sundalo, ug ang imo nga kauban nga mga nasod. Silotan ko kamo pinaagi sa balatian ug mag-unay kamo sa pagpinatyanay. Paulanan ko kamo ug kusog nga ulan, ice nga daw mga bato, ug nagadilaab nga asupre. 23Niining paagiha ko ipakita ang akong pagkagamhanan ug pagkabalaan sa tanang nasod. Unya mahibaloan nila nga ako mao ang Ginoo.”
1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,38.2 the chief…: or, prince of the chief 3And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:38.5 Libya: or, Phut 6Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 7Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8¶ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. 10Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:38.10 think…: or, conceive a mischievous purpose 11And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,38.11 safely: or, confidently 12To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.38.12 To take…: Heb. To spoil the spoil, and to prey the prey38.12 midst: Heb. navel 13Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
14¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. 17Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?38.17 by: Heb. by the hand of 18And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.38.20 steep…: or, towers, or, stairs 21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. 22And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
