Gipakasama ang Ehipto sa Kahoyng Sedro
1Sa nahaunang adlaw sa ikatulong bulan, sa ika-11 nga tuig sa amo nga pagkabihag, miingon ang Ginoo kanako, 2“Tawo, isulti kini sa Faraon nga hari sa Ehipto, ug sa iyang katawhan:
“Kang kinsa ko ba ipakasama ang imo nga pagkagamhanan? 3Ah! Ipahisama ko ikaw sa Asiria, ang nasod nga nahisama sa usa ka kahoy nga sedro sa Lebanon. Kini nga kahoya may matahom ug labong nga mga sanga nga nagalandong sa kalasangan, ug mas taas kini kaysa uban nga labong nga mga kahoy. 4Ang abunda nga tubig gikan sa lawom nga tuboran nakatabang sa pagpatubo niini. (Nagadagayday usab kini nga tubig ngadto sa tanang mga kahoy sa kalasangan.) 5Mitaas kini nga kahoya labaw sa tanang mga kahoy sa kalasangan. Nanagko ug nanglabong pa gyud ang iyang mga sanga tungod sa abunda nga tubig. 6Ang tanang matang sa mga langgam nagsalag sa iyang mga sanga, ug ang tanang matang sa mga ihalas nga mga mananap nanganak ilalom sa iyang mga sanga. Ang tanang bantogan nga mga nasod nagpasilong kaniya. 7Matahom gyud kini nga kahoy ug tag-as ang iyang mga sanga, tungod kay ang iyang mga gamot nakaabot man sa abunda nga tubig. 8Bisan gani ang mga kahoy nga sedro sa tanaman sa Dios dili makatupong niini nga kahoya. Bisan ang mga kahoy nga abeto ug mga kahoy nga platano dili makatupong sa sanga niini nga kahoya. Wala gyud kahoy sa tanaman sa Dios nga sama katahom niini nga kahoya. 9Gipatahom ko31:9 ko: sa Hebreo, sa Dios. kini nga kahoya nga may labong nga mga sanga. Busa nasina kaniya ang tanang kahoy sa tanaman sa Dios.”
10Busa miingon ang Ginoo nga Dios, “Tungod kay nagpasigarbo kini nga kahoya sa iyang kahabog ug sa kalabong sa iyang mga sanga, 11itugyan ko siya sa pinakagamhanan nga nasod nga siguradong mopahamtang kaniya sa silot nga angay sa iyang kadaotan. Oo, isalikway ko siya; 12putlon siya sa mga taga-laing nasod—ang pinakabangis sa mga nasod, ug unya biyaan. Magkatag ang iyang bali nga mga sanga sa kabukiran ug kapatagan ug sa mga agianan sa tubig. Mobiya kaniya ang mga nasod nga nagpasilong kaniya. 13Motugdon ang tanang mga langgam sa natumba niini nga punoan, ug mopuyo ang ihalas nga mga mananap sa mga sanga niini. 14Busa gikan karon, wala nay kahoy nga mas motaas ug mas molabaw pa kalabong sa uban nga mga kahoy, bisan abunda pa kini sa tubig. Kay mamatay ang tanang kahoy sama sa tawo, ug moadto sa kinahiladman sa yuta.”
15Mipadayon pag-ingon ang Ginoo nga Dios, “Sa adlaw nga dad-on na kini nga kahoya ngadto sa dapit sa mga patay, tabonan ko ang mga lawom nga tuboran ingon nga timailhan sa pagsubo. Dili na modagayday ang tubig sa mga suba, ug wala nay abunda nga tubig. Tungod niini, mo ngaitngit ang Lebanon ug mangalaya ang tanang mga kahoy sa kaumahan. 16Mokurog sa kahadlok ang mga nasod inigkadungog nila sa lagapak sa pagkatumba niadtong kahoya, sa panahon nga dad-on ko kini ngadto sa dapit sa mga patay uban niadtong mga nangamatay na. Unya ang tanang mga kahoy sa Eden ug ang tanang maayo ug matahom nga mga kahoy sa Lebanon nga natubigan pag-ayo maglipay didto sa kinahiladman sa yuta. 17Ang mga nasod nga mipasilong ug nakig-abin kaniya magauban usab kaniya ngadto sa dapit sa mga patay uban sa mga nangamatay sa gubat.
18“Hari sa Ehipto, wala gyud kahoy sa Eden nga makatupong sa imo nga katahom ug pagkagamhanan. Apan itambog ka usab sa kinahiladman sa yuta uban sa mga kahoy sa Eden. Didto mag-uban kamo niadtong mga tawo nga nangamatay sa gubat nga wala nakaila sa Dios.31:18 wala nakaila sa Dios: sa literal, wala matuli.
“Mao kini ang mahitabo sa hari sa Ehipto31:18 hari sa Ehipto: sa literal, Faraon. ug sa iyang katawhan. Ako, ang Ginoo nga Dios, ang nagaingon niini.”
1And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom art thou like in thy greatness?
3¶ Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.31.3 with fair branches: Heb. fair of branches 4The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.31.4 made…: or, nourished him31.4 set…: or, brought him up31.4 little rivers: or, conduits 5Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.31.5 when…: or, when it sent them forth 6All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations. 7Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters. 8The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. 9I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
10¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height; 11I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.31.11 he…: Heb. in doing he shall do unto him 12And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him. 13Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches: 14To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.31.14 their trees…: or, stand upon themselves for their height 15Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.31.15 to mourn: Heb. to be black 16I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. 17They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
18¶ To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
