Si Saulo Nakabig ngadto sa Ginoo
(Bin. 22:6-16; 26:12-18)
1Nagpadayon pa gayod ang pagpanghulga ni Saulo sa mga sumusunod ni Ginoong Jesus nga patyon niya sila. Miadto pa siya sa pangulong pari 2ug nangayog mga sulat nga mohatag kaniya sa katungod ug mopaila kaniya didto sa mga simbahan sa mga Judio sa Damascus. Tuyo niya nga pangdakpon ug dad-on pagbalik sa Jerusalem ang iyang makit-an didto nga mga sumusunod ni Cristo, lalaki man o babaye.
3Sa dihang nagkaduol na si Saulo sa siyudad sa Damascus, sa kalit lang may kahayag gikan sa langit nga midan-ag sa iyang palibot. 4Unya natumba siya sa yuta ug may tingog siyang nadungog nga nagaingon, “Saulo, Saulo! Nganong ginalutos mo ako?” 5Mitubag si Saulo, “Sir, kinsa ka ba?” Mitubag ang tingog, “Ako mao si Jesus nga imong ginalutos. 6Tindog ug adto sa siyudad, tungod kay didto may mosulti kanimo kong unsa ang angay mong himuon.” 7Walay nakatingog sa mga kauban ni Saulo. Nagtindog lang sila nga nagtanga. Nakadungog sila sa tingog, apan wala silay nakita. 8Mitindog si Saulo, apan pagbuka niya sa iyang mga mata dili na siya makakita. Busa giagak siya sa iyang mga kauban hangtod sa Damascus. 9Sulod sa tulo ka adlaw dili siya makakita, ug wala siya mokaon o moinom.
10Didto sa Damascus may usa ka sumusunod ni Jesus nga ginganlan ug Ananias. Pinaagi sa panan-awon nagpakita kaniya ang Ginoo ug nagaingon, “Ananias!” Mitubag si Ananias, “Ginoo, ania ako.” 11Miingon ang Ginoo kaniya, “Lakaw didto sa dalan nga gitawag ‘Tul-id,’ ug didto sa balay ni Judas pangitaa ang tawo nga taga-Tarso nga ginganlag Saulo. Niining higayona nagaampo siya, 12ug gipakita ko kaniya pinaagi sa panan-awon nga ikaw misulod ug mipandong sa imong kamot kaniya aron makakita siya pag-usab.” 13Apan mitubag si Ananias, “Ginoo, nadunggan ko gikan sa daghang mga tawo ang mahitungod nianang tawhana, kon unsa siya kabangis sa imong mga sumusunod sa Jerusalem. 14Mianhi gani siya dinhi karon sa Damascus nga may pagtugot gikan sa kadagkoan sa mga pari aron pangdakpon niya ang tanang nagatuo kanimo.” 15Apan miingon ang Ginoo kang Ananias, “Lakaw, adtoi siya, tungod kay gipili ko siya nga mag-alagad kanako aron ipaila niya ang akong ngalan sa mga dili Judio ug sa ilang mga hari, ug sa mga Israelinhon. 16Ug ipakita ko usab kaniya ang mga pag-antos nga kinahanglan niyang maagian alang kanako.”
17Busa giadtoan ni Ananias si Saulo sa balay nga iyang gisak-an, ug sa pagsulod niya didto gipandong niya ang iyang kamot kang Saulo. Ug miingon siya, “Saulo, igsoon ko sa Ginoo, gisugo ako ni Ginoong Jesus sa pag-anhi dinhi kanimo. Siya ang nagpakita kanimo sa dalan samtang nagpadulong ka dinhi. Gisugo niya ako dinhi aron makakita ka pag-usab ug aron gamhan ka sa Espiritu Santo.” 18Diha-diha nangahulog gikan sa mga mata ni Saulo ang morag mga himbis sa isda, ug nakakita siya pag-usab. Unya mitindog siya ug nagpabautismo. 19Mikaon siya ug nabaskog pag-usab ang iyang lawas.
Nagwali si Saulo didto sa Damascus
Nagpabilin si Saulo sa Damascus sulod sa pipila ka mga adlaw kauban sa mga sumusunod ni Jesus. 20Miadto siya sa mga simbahan sa mga Judio ug giwali niya ang mahitungod kang Jesus nga siya mao ang Anak sa Dios. 21Natingala gayod ang tanang nakadungog kaniya. Miingon sila, “Dili ba mao man kanang tawhana ang naglutos sa mga nagatuo kang Jesus didto sa Jerusalem? Dili ba mianhi man siya dinhi aron pangdakpon ang mga nagatuo niadto nga ngalan ug dad-on didto sa kadagkoan sa mga pari?”
22Misamot pa gayod ang gahom ni Saulo sa pagwali. Ug ang mga Judio sa Damascus dili makatubag kaniya sa dihang gipamatud-an niya nga si Jesus mao ang Cristo.
23Paglabay sa pipila ka mga adlaw nagtigom ang mga Judio ug nagplano sa pagpatay kang Saulo. 24Adlaw ug gabii gibantayan nila ang mga pultahan sa siyudad kay patyon nila siya kon ilang makita. Apan may misulti kang Saulo mahitungod sa ilang plano. 25Busa usa ka gabii niana gipasulod siya sa mga sumusunod sa bukag ug gitunton pagawas sa paril sa siyudad.
Si Saulo didto sa Jerusalem
26Pag-abot ni Saulo sa Jerusalem, gusto unta niya nga makig-uban sa mga sumusunod ni Jesus, apan nahadlok sila kaniya. Dili sila motuo nga siya sumusunod na ni Jesus. 27Apan gitabangan siya ni Barnabas. Gidala siya ni Barnabas sa mga apostoles ug gipaila-ila. Gisaysay ni Barnabas kanila kon sa unsang pagkahitabo nga nakita ni Saulo si Ginoong Jesus sa dalan ug kon unsa ang gisulti kaniya. Ug gisulti usab niya ang kaisog ni Saulo sa pagwali mahitungod kang Jesus didto sa Damascus. 28Busa sukad niadto, kauban na nila si Saulo, ug bisan asa sa Jerusalem walay kahadlok si Saulo sa pagwali mahitungod sa Ginoo. 29Nakigsulti ug nakiglantugi siya sa mga Judio kansang pinulongan Griego, apan nangasuko sila ug nagplano sa pagpatay kaniya. 30Sa pagkahibalo sa mga magtutuo sa maong plano, gihatod nila si Saulo sa lungsod sa Cesarea ug gipapauli sa Tarso.
31Human niadto, nagmalinawon ang kinabuhi sa mga magtutuo sa tibuok Judea, sa Galilea, ug sa Samaria. Midugang paglig-on ang pagtuo sa mga magtutuo ug nagkinabuhi sila nga may pagtahod sa Ginoo; ug tungod kay gipalig-on sila sa Espiritu Santo midaghan pa gayod sila.
Si Pedro didto sa Lida ug sa Jopa
32Daghang dapit ang giadto ni Pedro aron sa pagpamisita sa mga katawhan sa Dios. Miadto usab siya sa mga magtutuo sa Lida. 33Didto nakita ni Pedro ang tawo nga ginganlag Eneas. Paralitiko siya ug wala gayod makabangon sa iyang higdaanan sulod sa walo ka tuig. 34Miingon si Pedro kaniya, “Eneas, giayo ka ni Jesu-Cristo. Busa bangon na ug hiposa ang imong higdaanan.” Diha-diha mibangon si Eneas. 35Nakita sa tanang mga lumulupyo sa Lida ug sa Sharon nga maayo na si Eneas, ug mituo usab sila sa Ginoo.
36Ug didto sa Jopa, may magtutuo nga babaye nga ginganlag Tabita. (Sa pinulongang Griego ang iyang ngalan Dorcas, nga ang buot ipasabot mananap nga usa.) Kini nga babaye daghan ug maayong mga binuhatan ilabi na gayod sa mga kabos. 37Niining higayona nagsakit siya ug namatay. Gilimpyohan nila ang iyang patayng lawas ug gihaya nila sa kuwarto sa taas. 38Ang Jopa dili kaayo layo sa Lida. Busa pagkadungog sa mga sumusunod ni Jesus nga si Pedro atua didto sa Lida, gisugo nila ang duha ka tawo nga hangyoon siya nga moadto sa Jopa. 39Pag-abot sa mga gisugo didto kang Pedro, diha-diha nangandam si Pedro ug miuban kanila. Pag-abot nila sa Jopa gidala nila siya didto sa kuwarto sa taas nga gihayaan sa patay. May mga balo didto nga nanghilak. Gipakita nila kang Pedro ang mga bisti nga gipanahi ni Dorcas sa buhi pa siya. 40Unya gipagawas silang tanan ni Pedro sa kuwarto. Miluhod siya ug nagaampo. Pagkahuman miatubang siya sa patayng lawas ug miingon, “Tabita, bangon na!” Mibuka ang mga mata ni Tabita ug sa pagkakita niya kang Pedro milingkod siya. 41Gikuptan siya ni Pedro sa kamot ug gitabangan nga makatindog. Pagkahuman gitawag niya ang mga balo ug ang ubang mga magtutuo didto sa gawas ug gipakita niya kanila si Tabita nga buhi na. 42Kining hitaboa nabalitaan sa tibuok nga Jopa, ug daghan ang mituo kang Ginoong Jesus. 43Nagpabilin si Pedro sa pipila ka adlaw didto sa Jopa sa balay ni Simon nga tigbulad ug panit sa mga mananap.
1And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 3And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. 7And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. 8And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. 9And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10¶ And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, 12And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 13Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. 17And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. 19And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 20And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. 21But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? 22But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23¶ And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: 24But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 25Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. 26And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. 27But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. 28And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. 29And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him. 30Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Cæsarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus. 31Then had the churches rest throughout all Judæa and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
32¶ And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. 33And there he found a certain man named Æneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. 34And Peter said unto him, Æneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. 35And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36¶ Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. 42And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. 43And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
