Ang Pag-ayo sa Tawong Bakol
1Usa niana ka adlaw, mga alas tres sa hapon, miadto si Pedro ug si Juan sa templo. Oras kadto sa pag-ampo. 2Sa pultahan sa templo may tawo nga bakol sukad pa sa iyang pagkatawo. Kada adlaw ginadala siya didto sa pultahan nga gitawag “Matahom,” aron magpakilimos sa mga tawong mosulod sa templo. 3Sa pagkakita niya kang Pedro ug kang Juan nga mosulod sa templo, nangayo siya ug limos. 4Gitutokan siya ni Pedro ug ni Juan. Unya miingon si Pedro kaniya, “Tan-aw kanamo.” 5Mitan-aw ang tawo kanila nga nagpaabot nga limosan siya. 6Apan miingon si Pedro kaniya, “Wala gayod akoy kuwarta. Apan naa akoy ihatag kanimo: Sa ngalan3:6 ngalan: Ang buot ipasabot, gahom o, awtoridad. ni Jesu-Cristo nga taga-Nazaret, lakaw!” 7Unya gikuptan ni Pedro ang tuong kamot sa tawo ug gipatindog siya. Diha-diha nalig-on ang iyang mga tiil ug mga buolbuol. 8Diha-diha mitindog siya ug naglakaw-lakaw. Pagkahuman miuban siya kanila sa pagsulod sa templo. Padayon siya sa paglakaw-lakaw ug paglukso-lukso nga nagadayeg sa Dios. 9Nakita sa tanan nga siya nagalakaw-lakaw ug nagadayeg sa Dios. 10Nailhan nila nga siya mao ang tawong naglingkod ug nagpakilimos didto sa pultahan sa templo nga gitawag ug “Matahom.” Busa natingala gayod sila pag-ayo sa nahitabo kaniya.
Nagwali si Pedro didto sa Balkon ni Solomon
11Wala gayod mobulag kang Pedro ug kang Juan ang maong tawo. Nanagan ang mga tawo ngadto kanila didto sa inatupang agianan nga gitawag ug Balkon ni Solomon tungod sa ilang katingala. 12Sa pagkakita ni Pedro sa mga tawo miingon siya kanila, “Mga kaigsoonan kong mga kaliwat ni Israel, nganong natingala kamo niini? Nganong gitutokan ninyo kami? Naghunahuna ba kamo nga napalakaw namo kining tawhana tungod sa among gahom ug pagkadiosnon? 13Ang Dios nga gisimba sa atong mga katigulangan nga si Abraham, si Isaac, ug si Jacob mao ang naghimo niini aron sa pagpasidungog sa iyang sulugoon nga si Jesus. Kini mao ang Jesus nga inyong gitugyan sa mga tawong anaa sa pangagamhanan ug inyong gisalikway atubangan ni Pilato, bisan nadesisyonan na niya nga buhian siya. 14Balaan ug matarong siya, apan gisalikway ninyo siya ug gihangyo hinuon ninyo kang Pilato nga buhian ang usa ka mamumuno baylo kaniya. 15Gipatay ninyo ang nagahatag ug kinabuhi apan gibanhaw siya sa Dios. Ug kami makapamatuod nga nabanhaw siya. 16Ang pagtuo kang Jesus3:16 kang Jesus: sa literal, sa iyang ngalan. mao ang naghatag sa kusog niining tawo nga inyong nailhan ug nakita karon. Kamo mga saksi nga naayo siya. Nahitabo kini tungod sa iyang pagtuo kang Jesus.”
17“Mga kaigsoonan, nahibalo ako nga kamo ug ang inyong mga pangulo naghimo niini kang Jesus tungod kay wala kamo makahibalo kon kinsa gayod siya. 18Gipadayag na sa Dios niadtong unang panahon pinaagi sa mga propeta nga si Cristo kinahanglan gayod nga mag-antos, ug sa inyong gihimo kaniya, natuman ang gisulti sa Dios. 19Busa karon, kinahanglan maghinulsol na kamo ug moduol sa Dios aron pasayloon niya ang inyong mga sala, 20ug moabot kaninyo ang bag-o nga kusog nga gikan sa Ginoo. Ug pagkahuman, ipadala niya si Jesus nga mao ang Cristo nga iya na daang gipili alang kanato. 21Apan kinahanglan nga adto lang una si Jesus sa langit hangtod nga moabot ang panahon nga bag-ohon na sa Dios ang tanang mga butang. Mao usab kana ang giingon sa Dios niadtong unang panahon pinaagi sa iyang mga propeta. 22Sama sa giingon ni Moises, ‘Ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios mohatag kaninyo ug propeta nga sama kanako gikan sa inyong kaliwat. Kinahanglang tumanon ninyo ang tanan niyang isulti kaninyo. 23Ang dili motuman niini nga propeta ilain gikan sa mga katawhan sa Dios ug pagalaglagon.’3:23 Tan-awa usab ang Deu. 18:15, 18, 19. 24Sama usab niana ang giingon sa tanang mga propeta gikan pa kang Samuel. Silang tanan nanagna kon unsa ang mangahitabo karong mga panahona. 25Ang mga gisaad sa Dios pinaagi sa iyang mga propeta alang gayod kanatong mga Judio, kay apil kita sa kasabotan nga gihimo sa Dios sa atong mga katigulangan tungod kay nagaingon siya kang Abraham, ‘Panalanginan ko ang tanang mga tawo sa kalibotan pinaagi sa imong kaliwat.’3:25 Tan-awa usab ang Gen. 22:18; 26:4. 26Busa gisugo sa Dios ang iyang pinili nga sulugoon, ug gipadala ug una dinhi kanatong mga Judio, aron matabangan niya kita sa pagbiya sa atong mga daotang mga binuhatan.”
1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 2And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. 11And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12¶ And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. 18But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19¶ Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. 22For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. 24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
