1Mao kini ang mga tawo nga miadto kang David didto sa Ziklag sa dihang nagtago-tago siya kang Saul nga anak ni Kish. Kauban sila sa mitabang kang David sa gira. 2Hanas kaayo silang mamana ug manglambayog, tuo man o wala nga kamot ang ilang gamiton. Mga paryente sila ni Saul gikan sa tribo ni Benjamin. 3Gipangulohan sila ni Ahiezer ug ni Joas nga mga anak ni Shemaa nga taga-Gibea. Mao kini ang ilang mga ngalan:
si Jeziel ug si Pelet nga mga anak ni Azmavet,
si Beraca ug si Jehu nga mga taga-Anatot,
4si Ishmaya nga taga-Gibeon—nga bantogan usab ug usa sa mga pangulo sa 30 ka maisog nga mga sakop ni David,
si Jeremias, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad nga taga-Gedera,
5si Eluzai, Jerimot, Bealia, Shemaria, ug Shefatia nga taga-Haruf,
6si Elkana, Ishia, Azarel, Joezer, ug Jashobeam nga mga kaliwat ni Kora,
7si Joela ug Zebadia nga mga anak ni Jeroham nga taga-Gedor.
8May mga tawo usab nga gikan sa tribo ni Gad nga miuban kang David didto sa kuta sa kamingawan. Mga maisog sila nga mga sundalo ug hanas silang mogamit sa taming ug bangkaw. Sama sila kaisog sa mga liyon, ug sama kaabtik sa mga lagsaw sa kabukiran:
9si Ezer mao ang ilang pangulo,
si Obadia ang ikaduha,
si Eliab ang ikatulo,
10si Mismanna ang ikaupat,
si Jeremias ang ikalima,
11si Atai ang ikaunom,
si Eliel ang ikapito,
12si Johanan ang ikawalo,
si Elzabad ang ikasiyam,
13si Jeremias ang ikanapulo,
ug si Macbanai ang ikaonse.
14Kini sila nga mga kaliwat ni Gad mga komander sa mga sundalo. 18Unya gigamhan sa Espiritu si Amasai, nga sa kaulahian nahimong pangulo sa 30 ka maisog nga mga sakop ni David, ug miingon:
“Imo kami! Dapig kami kanimo, O David, anak ni Jesse!
Hinaut nga magmalampuson ka ug ang mga nagatabang kanimo,
kay ang imong Dios nagatabang kanimo.”

19May mga tawo usab nga naggikan sa tribo ni Manase nga nanguban kang David sa dihang miuban siya sa mga Filistihanon aron sa pagpakiggira kang Saul. Apan wala kini madayon tungod kay wala mosugot ang mga Filistihanon nga mouban si David ug ang iyang mga tawo, kay nahadlok sila nga mobali si David ug modapig ngadto sa iyang agalon nga si Saul. Busa, human sa ilang panagsabot-sabot, gipabalik nila si David sa Ziklag.
20Mao kini ang mga tawo nga naggikan sa tribo ni Manase nga miuban kang David sa Ziklag: sila si Adnak, Jozabad, Jediel, Micael, Jozabad, Elihu, ug Ziletai. Ang matag usa kanila pangulo sa usa ka libo ka sundalo sa tribo ni Manase. 21Mitabang sila kang David sa pagpakiggira sa mga tawong manulong kanila, kay mga maisog silang tanang mga sundalo, ug mga komander sila sa kasundalohan. 22Kada adlaw, may mga tawo nga moadto kang David aron sa pagtabang kaniya, hangtod midaghan ug milig-on ang iyang kasundalohan.
23Mao kini ang gidaghanon sa mga armadong sundalo nga nangadto kang David didto sa Hebron aron itugyan ngadto kaniya ang gingharian ni Saul, sumala sa gisaad sa Ginoo:
24Gikan sa tribo ni Juda: 6,800 ka mga sundalo nga armado ug bangkaw ug taming.
25Gikan sa tribo ni Simeon: 7,100 ka maisog nga mga sundalo.
26Gikan sa tribo ni Levi: 4,600 ka mga sundalo, 27apil na niini si Jehoyada nga pangulo sa mga kaliwat ni Aaron uban sa iyang 3,700 ka mga tawo, 28ug si Zadok nga usa ka maisog ug batan-ong sundalo ug ang 22 ka mga opisyal gikan sa iyang pamilya.
