Written in Africa
In 2004 Biblica's South African staff grew frustrated with seeing so many youth die of AIDS. Biblica is about the Bible. So, they created a tool using Scripture to teach abstinence to teenagers.
The most common introduction to R4L is in public high schools. African school masters desperate to keep their students alive, willingly invite R4L into their schools.
A New Testament
R4L is a completely unique tool in that it is the Bible itself. Each student in a school receives their own copy of the R4L New Testament. The small group lessons are side by side with Scripture.
When R4L launches in a school, students are broken up into "R4L Groups." These groups meet for 40 weeks going over the 40 small group lessons.
Orphans are those most vulnerable to AIDS. R4L brings hope to children by sharing an alternative choice to the lifestyle that has led to the pandemic.
Change the World
R4L has spread from Africa to 5 continents and has been translated into 10 languages. 3 more languages are currently in production. Over 1.2 million copies of R4L has been placed in the hands of youth worldwide.
