heaven
the realm where God exists. God's intention was to live in his creation with humans, but humanity rebelled. God exists in exile from the people he created, but he will live among us after the end of this present, sin-filled age.
In fact, by the Holy Spirit, he already lives in the people who live the way he wants them to.
These followers of Jesus have their citizenship in heaven because Jesus is there waiting to return to a restored creation.
