Deferred Charitable Gift Annuities work in a similar fashion to standard Charitable Gift Annuities; however, Deferred Charitable Gift Annuities allow you, when you establish your annuity, to choose a date in the future when you would like your income payments to start. This delay of your payment allows your annuity to mature in Biblica Ministries Foundation, which results in a higher percentage payout to you and a higher possible tax-deduction benefit.

A slightly different variation of a Deferred Charitable Gift Annuity is a Flexible Charitable Gift Annuity. This still allows you to defer your annuity payments to a later date, but that date can be chosen at a later time as well. A schedule of future years, along with the percentage you would earn each year, is provided when the annuity is purchased.
