Participants read for eight weeks, covering the third major section of the Old Testament from start to finish. Learn how a Community Bible Experience works.
Compared to the Covenant History and The Prophets, The Writings are a looser — and more diverse — collection of books. You'll encounter songs of worship, romance, and lament; nuggets of wisdom expressing vital truths about life; and poetic speeches exploring the nature of human suffering.
You'll also journey with the Israelites as they review their history in light of their return to the Promised Land following their exile. And you'll encounter a vivid, apocalyptic vision courtesy of the Old Testament sage Daniel.
The Writings reading campaign will be available starting in early 2013.
