Read the prophets in historical order — and retrace Israel's story through the unique perspective of these divinely inspired messengers.
Participants read for eight weeks, covering the Old Testament prophets as they call Israel to repent and return to the God who delivered them from bondage. Learn how a Community Bible Experience works.
The prophets spoke through poetic oracles, letters, sermons, and visions — addressing a divided covenant nation that all too often wandered from God. In this campaign, you'll experience their messages in historical order, starting with the prophets who announced the impending fall of the northern kingdom of Israel.
Next, you'll meet the second group of prophets, who wrote as one threat to God's people, Assyria, was replaced by another, Babylon. The third group prophesied as Babylon was bearing down on the southern kingdom of Judah. The final group of prophets addressed those exiles who returned to the Promised Land, seeking to renew their covenant with God.
The Covenant History reading campaign will be available starting in early 2012.
