The New Testament reading campaign expresses the ancient concept of the fourfold gospel in a fresh way. The campaign is divided into four sections — each of which starts with one of the four gospels, followed by a selection of closely related books:
Luke-Acts and the letters of Paul
The journey begins with Luke's gospel, followed immediately by Luke's other work, the book of Acts. Read together, Luke and Acts give an overview of Jesus and the movement he ignited. Next you'll meet Paul — one of the main characters from the book of Acts — reading his letters in the order they were most likely written.
Matthew and other books written to a Jewish audience
The second section starts with the gospel of Matthew, which provides a uniquely Jewish perspective on Jesus and the movement he launched. The journey continues with Hebrews and James, two letters written to Jewish believers.
Mark and the letters of Peter and Jude
The third section begins with the gospel of Mark, which many believe to be the memoirs of Peter, as recorded by Mark. You'll also read Peter's two letters to believers — as well as a short letter from Jesus' brother Jude, which bears a striking resemblance to 2 Peter.
John and Revelation
The journey concludes with John's gospel, his three letters to the church, and the unforgettable book of Revelation.
