Colorado Springs, CO—November 2016 – Biblica is pleased to announce that Tracy Thomas has accepted the newly created position of Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) and will begin her role effective November 21.
As part of its new framework for successful Bible ministry, Biblica, the International Bible Society recognized the need for a leader in the areas of donor development and major donor relations.
“We have been seeking someone to spearhead our ministry fundraising efforts,” said Biblica CEO, Carl Moeller. “We are confident that we have found that person in Tracy Thomas. She has a strong faith in Christ, an extensive background in fundraising, and an exceptional skill set that will make her a great fit for Biblica. We are very excited to have her join our leadership team.”
Tracy began her career in the non-profit world in 2002 when she accepted a position with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She then spent time working for The Latin School of Chicago and The Nature Conservancy, where she raised funds for local and global priorities.
Before coming to Biblica, Tracy spent five years with Bright Hope, as Director of Strategic Partnerships. She was also Vice President of Major Gift Services with Dickerson, Bakker & Associates, where she specialized in revolutionizing how faith-based organizations conduct fundraising.
“Tracy brings with her a much-needed expertise in fundraising development and fundraising strategy,” said Biblica COO, Brett Schrock. “We are all expecting great things from her.”
Tracy graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism and business. She lives with her husband and three small children in the north suburbs of Chicago.
